  1. I was set on the LG G2 but, this through a wrench in my gears. However, I'm glad to have this (tough) decision to make.
  2. No AJ, that's your article (with credit given to Tim Yu, as well). Thank You, Sir!
  3. LOL. If above their avatar it doesn't say "S4GRU FCC OET Reporter," You really have to reconsider their credibility.
  4. So when do you all think Sprint will start selling it?
  5. Good, Summer vacation is over, and the new semester has fully begun.
  6. Now, the mass hysteria found here will (hopefully) be put to rest.
  7. Nice! Thanks, AJ! You beat the official S4GRU FCC OET Reporter to break this news! Off with his head!
  8. I'm holding out for a phone made of Whale Penis Leather, myself. http://jalopnik.com/5380680/15m-russian-suv-features-diamonds-whale-penis-leather
  9. It will most likely have tri-band support, Right?
  10. I wasn't really that interested in the Note to begin with but, I'm interested to hear what you didn't like, as your overall views usually seem pretty similar to mine. What don't you like?
  11. As far as I know, Sprint said there was a Samsung device due this year that will support Sprint Tri-Band LTE but, a specific device has not yet been revealed, as the Note 3 was just announced today. I'd imagine the Official S4GRU FCC OET Reporter will keep a close eye on FCC authorizations and keep us informed of when this device passes through. I cannot imagine the Note 3 not being the Samsung with tri-band LTE support Sprint mentioned, though.
  12. If its tri-band on Sprint, looks like it will be the first one for us, beating the G2 to the market. Sep. 25 http://phandroid.com/2013/09/04/samsung-galaxy-gear-galaxy-note-3-release-dates-set-for-september-25th/
  13. Most likely it's because there are only 3 out of 100's (1000+?) of sites that have been LTE accepted in the Phoenix market. Essentially, you most likely are connecting to a distant site and have a weak signal. As the network becomes more dense, you'll have less and less issues.
  14. Nice! I think that's already been mapped on Sensorly for a couple days though.
  15. Gotchya. Although, I was being sarcastic when I said "2ghz octacore processor" to emphasize the lust we seem have for spec's, in a round-a-bout way. Good info on most app's not bing properly multi-threaded to take full advantage of multiple core CPU's. I remember hearing about that when the dual-cores first came out when I got my EVO 3D but, I still had to have it... guess its still mostly the same, huh?
  16. I have a simmilar notification setup using SignalCheck Pro.
  17. Interesting. Based on these observations, I have a feeling there are quite a few LTE sites ready to go live in the PHX area.
  18. I saw that on Sensorly, too. I was there just moments ago and there appears to be something going on. At 32nd St and Cactus, I picked up LTE for about a minute, by the time I stopped the car and pulled up Sensorly, it reverted me back to 3G. I drove about 2 mile radius around this point, resetting my data connection as I went, and I connected to 4G a couple times, but again, I was reverted back to 3G. They must be testing a site in the area but, blocking its use to the end user, or something like that.
  19. This article presents ones take on how phone spec's are not quite as important as they used to be, as Android has improved its efficiency over the years and dosen't necessarily require that 2ghz octacore processor to provide a good user experience. In some ways, I tend to agree, and think there are some good points. The Moto X was used as an example, so I thought I'd bring it up here. What do you all think? http://phandroid.com/2013/09/02/motorola-specs-race-oped/
  20. I'm actually contmeplating getting the SGM for my mother. She needs a phone with a big screen, and I am tired of watching her struggle to use her Nexus S, with its old-school mini-screen (damn presbyopia!). I don't think it would be worth the extra money it to get her the latest and greatest tri-band device, since she really dosen't use data all that much, and these will still support 1x800 for voice/text improvements. I guess I'm just not sure what device would be better for someone who has trouble seeing close up objects, the giant screen on the Mega, or the near-giant screen on the Note II with s-pen (which will likely drop in price very soon). Any thoughts?? Thanks!
  21. I see y'alls point, and am leaning the same way; especially since it did already pass through the FCC. Just keep in mind, it took VZW forever and a day to get the One, even after it was released by Sprint. Just saying, it can happen.
  22. LTE at work... St Joes Hospital, 3rd and Thomas, Phoenix.
