  1. I have to admit, the specs look very tempting but AFAIK, LG has lousy support for their devices. Maybe an lg based nexus would be a good idea now that I've seen the potential behind lg.
  2. Glad to have you back. I read somewhere that it took Verizon 6 months to refund him for his 1st monthly payment. I hope it comes back soon considering the amount its worth. Did you just reopen 5 lines with sprint? Does that mean you got 5 new phones, too?
  3. Is it a tower right behind the Comfort Suites and Troy moving company? I'd like to go check it out later this month if that's the tower you're talking about. EDIT: Oh Snap! That's the tower for my Deerwood FSCJ campus, too! (If it's the one you're talking about.)
  4. The iphone has had the same interface since it's beginning. This is exactly why Samsung Touchwiz on Ics/Jellybean look like Gingerbread. People are comfortable with whatever they start with and most people started with an iphone.
  5. Does mapping my trip when driving add to the map or is it just the speedtests? Half of my neighborhood is unmarked on the sensorly maps via Sprint 3G/2G and so I drove through it with the map trip option selected (had GPS on, too.) and it found like 100 2G/3G points but it didn't update any to the map. This was done about a week ago. Any ideas?
  6. Clearwire is releasing lte advanced on four 5x5 mhz carriers, right? Are these lte advanced towers going to go on all sprint towers, or will it replace the WiMax towers that Clearwire currently uses? Also, the lte 800, I recall reading that it's only going to cover 80% sprint towers, is that approximately all of the old Nextel sites or are we talking sprint sites as of current? Thanks
  7. Exactly, Sprint's using this tactic is only going to make customers question Sprint's statements or claims in the future. It leads to unhappy customers. Sprint's Wimax coverage says all of 32259 is covered, but 60% of my zip code doesn't have usable Wimax.
  8. Search zipcode 32259 on Sprint.com/network then scroll up just slightly from the first tower. Then after you take note of that one, scroll up a little bit more and you'll find the second one. EDIT: This is Jacksonville, Florida.
  9. True, I hope they do that in the Jacksonville market, too!
  10. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1636-xbox-live-over-lte/page__hl__%2Bxbox+%2Btether__fromsearch__1 Found the thread on it.
  11. There was another member on s4gru that tethered his 4G LTE to his Xbox and played Call of duty on it, he said he hardly used any data and that the gameplay was smooth. I guess I'd have to look at how much data it uses sometime in the future.
  12. No, but I've played an online mmorpg with over 200 players in a single area fine. 25mb/hr was about the average use.
  13. Actually, data for online games only use around 25mb an hour, so it doesn't cause much harm. However, you'll need decent latency to have a good time.
  14. Two weeks into this month's bill and I've only used 300MBs of data as opposed to my usable 4gb/month. :-D I've noticed wifi loads many things much faster, very noticeable on videos and pictures. Pandora, hard to tell...
  15. This is a Verizon tower, but you can see a huge nest at the top. These pesky little birdies need to migrate already!
  16. I've noticed fiber optics being installed at some Jax sites but I haven't seen any lte panels installed yet.
  17. I turned on lte/cmda and went into settings > status and it states what mobile network you're connected to. My house has Ehrpd now, too. Jacksonville about to get busy!
  18. Leaving it on LTE/CDMA hasn't made any noticeable impact on battery life. I'm sure it uses a little bit more, but like I said, my phone activity varies so it's nearly impossible to know 100% the impact it has. I'm in zip code 32259 btw. You'll only find eHRPD if you're on LTE/CDMA, otherwise you'll only find EvDo RevA.
  19. So excited. I'm at a friends house right now but I'll check my local tower later and see if Ehrpd is active there, too.
  20. This is good, considering Ericcson has already finished installing the backhaul at many sites in Jax, FL.
  21. Tapatalk won't let me link... San Diego is scheduled to launch in January 2013.
