  1. I'm in Florida and mine's lower than that. Florida is ranked 4th on your list.
  2. That'd be awesome to hear S4GRU on that call. Haha
  3. Sprint should go after metro pcs. They're the biggest, affordable company for them to absorb. :-)
  4. At work I'm literally 500 feet or so from the Wimax tower and I could pull 13mbps. But now I'm on the GS3 so I'm waiting for LTE.
  5. xda marketplace is a really good place to try this.
  6. Might be those little fixes from Ericsson aka bandage fixes.
  7. I have godly 3g speeds at my house and I typically use 3g since it's really fast but after reading this, I've switched to 100% wifi at home. It's much more cost efficient for Comcast to offer 10+ gigs of data for my phone than it is for Sprint.
  8. Birds would probably still make their nest inside the antennas. Just the way I currently see birds on certain branches instead of the top of the tree.
  9. I think it's because Verizon has way more subscribers than sprint in my area. They have more backhaul though.
  10. I loaded a Verizon prl today and did speed tests all day. Verizon definite has more coverage but Sprint is right up there. The screen shot is Verizon at my local movie theater. Sprint pulled 2.07 mbps down and 783kbps up. Surprsingly, sprint had 95 ms ping while Verizon had 200+. Overall, I'd pick sprint over the Verizon speed because anything over 2mbps is more than enough for me. :-)
  11. That's what I do on my gs3. I just change the prl. Idk if you can set it to roam only on gs3. Maybe that's an evo 4g lte feature.
  12. only if I don't dial the area code. Text and mms/sms work fine. Data doesn't cut out either unless I'm using a lot at once (for days straight, etc.)
  13. Haha, I did the test.prl method. Works like a charm. :-P
  14. I was on vacation in Panama City Florida for a week and the days it rained, I used my phone. I was roaming on Verizon and hit 800 mbs. Didn't hear anything from Sprint. But I did have 2gb of sprint usage that same month. It's a hit or miss. I am looking at houses in a neighborhood right now and sprint has no signal so I loaded up a Verizon prl for now. When I get home, I'll reload the Sprint one. :-P
  15. Sprint's NV is supposed to average over 1mbps. Once Orlando is fully completed, you wont be disappointed. If speeds are that bad, it's probably because Sprint is working on your local tower.
  16. I tried this and my 4G isn't working! It's definitely not due to the fact it hasn't launched in my area yet.
  17. To be honest, I'd check if T-Mobile is available in your area. If you have your own GSM phone, you can use T-Mobile's network without a contract so you can cancel at any time. T-Mobile, from what I hear, has more HSPA+ coverage than Verizon's LTE. (Maybe I'm wrong.) But T-Mobile being unlimited now and cheap is a great plus to help the wait.
  18. This is why it's necessary for unlimited data. Why even have Verizon or AT&T if you are worried about showing off the speeds!
  19. Verizon's better, but more expensive and not unlimited. If you're fine with that, then by all means, go for it. Personally, I prefer Sprint, they're good enough for what I do (Pandora streaming in the car), and emails/text. They're also very good when it comes to reception. I just think once LTE hits the area, it's going to be awesome. Not to mention that LTE 800mhz frequency will be released soon after 1900 launches. It's just going to take time and 1900 is the same coverage in terms of distance and building penetration as the 3G. No matter what, 4G LTE 1900mhz is much better than WiMax. I would stay away from AT&T. I've heard nothing good from them and they do, for a fact, have the worst CS of any carrier.
  20. Ehrpd and evdo share the same 3g backhaul. Ehrpd is only there to hand off the transition to lte from evdo and vice versa.
