  1. Buying Sprint is more of a speculative play. I am not optimistic about the wireless telecoms business in general due to high costs and competition. Thus, any sharp appreciation in Sprint's share price will have to come from some other special catalyst, such as spectrum sale, merger talks, insider buying, etc. rather than organic growth.
  2. I am interested in the maroon leather back cover.
  3. Claure's net worth is $1 billion+. He should buy more Sprint shares.
  4. Boston subways now have Sprint 4G LTE service underground: http://bostinno.streetwise.co/2015/01/09/sprint-cell-service-is-live-in-boston-mbta-subway-tunnels/
  5. I spent a day after New Year's in Orange Beach, AL. Good 4G LTE coverage outside, but almost nonexistent 3G/4G penetration inside a normal Hilton Garden Inn room. To make phone calls, I had to stay in the lobby by a window. Unfortunately, the hotel WiFi was not robust enough for internet calling, so no alternative!
  6. 1.5 years since your post, I was in Panama City Beach yesterday (Pier Park). The 4G (LTE 1900) was unfortunately too intermittent and definitely unavailable inside any bar or restaurant. The 3G (CDMA 1900) was usable, but only for basic voice, texts, and slow internet usage. NV 2.0 is needed to fill in the "Swiss cheese" network through much of the Panhandle east into northern Florida.
  7. Will T-Mobile Take Over Sprint's Number 3 Position In 2015? http://www.bidnessetc.com/31732-will-tmobile-takeover-sprint-corporation-number-3-position-in-2015/
  8. My main disappointment is that LTE 800 is only 50% built out, possibly reaching 100% by end of 2015. I live in Indianapolis, which is beautiful with Spark, but I want the rest of the country to get what I am getting.
  9. I spent the last few days in meetings and travel around DC, Northern VA, and MD. The Sprint experience was satisfactory, but there were still noticeable pockets where I dropped to 3G.
  10. It will be a tough time for Sprint stock holder if they are looking for organic growth. Recovery from these new price lows would probably require "surprise" catalysts such as mergers/acquisitions, network sharing deal, spectrum sale, etc. I do not understand why SoftBank is not doing share buybacks at these depressed prices.
  11. Sprint CEO announced today that Matt Carter is getting fired. http://online.wsj.com/articles/sprints-ceo-shakes-up-executive-ranks-chief-marketing-officer-to-leave-1416266519
  12. Last week, one of Sprint's Presidents sold a bunch of his stock: http://www.wkrb13.com/markets/424743/sprint-insider-sells-331091-in-stock-s/ He is either an idiot for selling at $4.78 near the 52-week low, or he realistically sees further trouble ahead.
  13. Very disappointing numbers. Sprint shareholders will once again have to be patient for yet another quarter.
  14. If the future is bullish on Sprint, I am surprised that there have been no reports of insiders buying shares, such as Claure or other high-level executives. There has, however, been talk that Softbank can easily buy the remaining 20% of Sprint for less than $5 billion. http://blogs.barrons.com/techtraderdaily/2014/10/30/sprint-credit-suisse-ups-to-hold-softbank-could-buy-them-out/
  15. How much cost savings (or one-time increases) will Sprint book with the Wimax shutdown?
  16. I just moved into an apartment in south Indy. My phone is now "permanently" connected to B26. I seamlessly Skyped with my parents on LTE for half-an-hour giving them a tour of the place.
  17. Terrible connectivity yesterday both 3G/4G in and around BWI Airport. It is very difficult to navigate out of the airport if there is little data connection for the GPS app.

  19. Deal values Dreamworks at $3.4 billion. Masa using money freed up by T-Mobile US pursuit failure and Alibaba IPO? http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/source-dreamworks-animation-sale-talks-736164
  20. Why look out the window when I can look at my smartphone?
