  1. I just looked at the tower map and I don't see any towers in the city of Lake Forest Park. Is that one of the cities up there that doesn't really like having cell towers around? Looking at Sprint's owner tower improvement map here : https://network.sprint.com/search/Lake+Forest+Park%2C+WA/ You can see most of them around you, things are happening. 3G data/voice will get a little better, they did for me in Federal Way, and they are still working on them. There are a lot of us just waiting to see what happens, just like you.
  2. I will fix your comment to make it T-Mobile compliant. #T-Mobile #wouldn't #increase #rates #and #fees #UnCarrier#######
  3. Yep, where you can get a signal, its much faster. Have you see the 4G LTE logo on your phone yet at all? Where is Lake Forest Park, somewhere in Seattle?
  4. Speech is free, expanding coverage will cost T-Mobile real money.
  5. I use this app too. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bb.microcpu&hl=en This has also stopped working in the background, so it isn't only your app. I have disabled the signalcheck app's status bar notifications for the time being.
  6. Windows phones can not be powered off while charging. Android phones can be on or off, if you power it off, it will stay off, if you power it on, it will stay on.
  7. I would think so. I have a Nexus5 and are starting to see LTE in the area now, where another person has an s3 and sees it almost everywhere.
  8. In the area where I work near Federal Way, WA, the 3G data/voice signal level has got slightly better, now good enough to use it for conversations, where in the past year I could not use it. 1XRTT is -95 to -100 dBm and eHRPD -97 dBm. Nexus5.
  9. No problem Mike. The widget is sometimes all grey and sometimes contains stale values, I haven't spotted a pattern yet. If I select the widget it launches the app and everything is refreshed. I'm pretty sure that Skype app has the same issue too, as it doesn't receive any incoming calls unless I have woken it up recently. The Vonage app however does receive calls all the time. So something is going on.
  10. I was just wondering what if any break up conditions would/could exist. I'm sorry for not posting a youtube from the 1980's if we're talking about broken records.
  11. After not running any task killers, I have noticed that the signal bars in the notification bar are always stale, always after the screen turns on again. I have to either select the widget (stale) or select it from the pull down (stale) to snap it back awake. Nexus5, non-rooted, untouched, 4.4.2 Edit: To say using ART.
  12. I do wonder what spectrum Sprint has to give to T-Mobile as part of the break up fees once the government votes to disallow this merger....I do wonder.... Wouldn't $20billion be much better spent on adding thousands of cell towers?
  13. Yep there is, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.googlevoice
  14. Yes, when I select the grey widget or select the app from the pulldown, its gets going again. I haven't cleared it using that method but I do sometimes use Fast Reboot, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.greatbytes.fastreboot Running this app the first time, SignalCheck is listed as being killed/restarted. Running this app the second time, SignalCheck is not listed as being killed/restarted. Maybe because it isn't running, I see other apps not starting up too, like Skype. That would explain why that Skype app isn't working correctly too. Thanks for leting us know, I was curious. Here is a quirk/feature of your app, when it gets updated automatically, it updates, then locks the phone. The phone uses a password to unlock.
  15. I would say since a few months ago, the app's icons in the notification bar are stale and don't update until I pull down and select the app. The widget is mostly stale or just grey. Is this a known issue? n5 standard, s4 GPe standard. Android version 4.4.2 on both.
  16. But we have to know, do you use tapatalk? And if so, which version do you use, version 1 or version 2? Please tell us ! , many times. Thanks!
  17. Yep, this is an important setting. Turn it off if you want to be be notified of voicemails, otherwise you get none.
  18. The border zones for Canada area are a minimum of 100 Km (62 miles). I have used cell phones in the middle of Death Valley in the past with towers being 30+ miles away.
  19. Edit this link and add your cell number to the end. http://zone.sprint.com/servicetrender/getstatus?mdn=8005551212
  20. All the profile selfies make me laugh. Reminds me of Myspace.
  21. This is pretty good news, if Dish concentrates on home fixed service, good news! I have submitted my property to Sprint to help them build a tower, no joy. Anyone know contacts to build a tower for Dish?
  22. Local and far, well known in WA. It keeps earning its name too. Some areas aren't so bad though. They just got two brand new MetroPCS stores, its on the up!
  23. One of Black Diamond,WA 's towers is now 3G/4G, worked fine with a nexus5 too. Nice. LTE works on the n5 in Felony Way now too.
  24. Sprint does this too . ... . zoom in, enhance, zoom in, enhance... etc.
  25. They will be updated, but maybe Sprint think that number of completed sites is "good enough" for them officially say its ready.
