  1. Thanks. When on Sprint today also, not roaming, the pull down notifications showed 1xRTT (Sprint) and eHRPD (-), this was while downloading a file for more than several minutes. In a 4G area, on the Nexus5, so it wasn't connected to LTE as that is broken as we know. The phone showed 3G too. [on latest beta version]
  2. http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/accessories/chargers/sku6290260.html Buy 3, get 25% off the order.
  3. Possibly waiting until the middle of the 2014, when all the third party apps (Groove IP etc) are kicked off.
  4. Pink, slightly pink, a little purple, more purple.... very clear..... Yep, very bad colours for voice and data.
  5. For me it takes two power ups, otherwise the data state gets mixed up, half in some funny state. 1) power off phone 2) put in new SIM 3) power on 4) power off 5) power on
  6. It isn't locked, other people have reported using it straight away with AT&T and T-Mobile SIMs, No software differences at all. The main downside with the Sprint one is the price and the lack of storage space. 16GB isn't enough for me.
  7. Here are the GV settings. The Voicemail service in the dialer is set to 'My Carrier' Hope this helps.
  8. When I get a voicemail, my phone vibrates and the LED flashes green. I use Google voice and have the app installed.
  9. Got my n5 (32GB) activated today, I noticed that the PCS signal is slightly stronger at work. Tried to activate it online, accepted all the phone/SIM numbers, but then told me to use the chat, worked no problem. Rebooted and then updated the profile. Of course, LTE is no more outside here now in Felony Way, WA, just the slow 3G [which might indicate 3G isn't converted over], hopefully that will change next year. I can swap the AT&T and Sprint SIMs out, with no real problems.
  10. You're in Florida, I have read that they have good service there, the state's topology helps. Its fun to try other services.
  11. The government should give it lend it to companies, just like TV spectrum. Then the companies could use their billions to actually build the cell network, instead of buying the spectrum and not having enough money to use it. Crazy thoughts I know.
  12. I ordered one last week, get it today, less than a week. They told me there was a backorder too, give it a little time you'll get one. I have tried the n5 with a prepaid T-Mobile sim, their LTE is very fast, crazy fast, in the places you can get it, but don't leave the city and if you stay in the city, don't go indoors, otherwise it drops to Edge and then nothing. Also using it with AT&T, also great speeds, 15 to 30 Mbps, great coverage, when LTE isn't available it drops to HSPA+ which gives good speeds of 2 to 4 Mbps. Fast enough for me. I think that with AT&T LTE is connecting on their 700 Mhz band, not sure. How can I find that out?
  13. I know I can't roam on a Verizon Airave equivalent.
  14. I have that same case, the black one, which is grippy like the black nexus5 skin. I have this Qi charger too, Nokia RT-900, works great, actually I bought 4 of them (work/home), $18 each, when you get more than 3 items from the AT&T online store, they have in stores too. No beeping, a tiny led that you can easily cover up if so desired.
  15. Almost as bad as having the 'using tapatalk' sig on every single post. Why do people have that? It can be disabled.
  16. I have found that the Google Voice integration can sound ok and sometimes so bad I have to hang up and call again. The same for incoming call, sometimes there is a beep every so many seconds, its weird, like someone pressed a key on their phone. This is when the international integration is used from a Sprint phone in a sprint area, and also when in a roaming area. To use the Google voice in a Sprint area, I just dial the +number directly. To use Google voice in a roaming area, I have to dial my own number and then the password and then the 011 number. Can't use the Google voice +number dialing directly when roaming, have to be in a Sprint area. A third party is involving in the voice routing, can't recall which it is.
  17. What do you mean a break in the data, as in lost data packets? I thought that was not the case, no data lost.
  18. To spread the amount of tech support calls out over those weeks instead of all in one day.
  19. I don't know, I saw a documentary that contained a guy in a cape flying around. Not much of CA left if that doc story turned out as planned.
  20. From Google? I got a 32 GB black one yesterday.
  21. I get Mairtime when an AT&T is in there... ?
  22. Its on a piece of paper, in the middle. Look between the warranty booklets.
  23. I'm not using my upgrade until 2034. That is when the super spark part 4 is completed, 1 Tbps should be available by then. I'm going to use the upgrade to buy an iPhone 21 with 1024G Quads of flash memory with cloaking technology and sell it on Swappa.
  24. I got one by calling telesales, tell them what you want "micro SIM for a Nexus5" they will help you. They put me on hold and spoke with the international dept and sent me an email later that day with the order number, might take a few weeks though they said. 888 882 4030
