eHRPD activation is being done pretty far in advance of Network Vision beginning in most markets. It is always nice to see eHRPD advancing around the country. But its arrival is not any indicator of NV. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

Maybe. However, the NYC market has suffered significant delays even before the hurricane. Now it is even worse. There is no imminent market launch, but service will continue growing every week. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk

Deployment will be starting in Knoxville soon. It is a part of the Nashville Sprint market. Sites being deployed on first are not the ones you guys may seem best or most worthy. They deploy on the sites that are first ready for upgrade. There are a lot of things that are variable in deployment. As when planning, zoning, permitting, backhaul and equipment are all complete at any site. The moment everything is ready on a site, crews run right out and convert it. They could wait for the best sites to get ready and let the less desirable sites in our eyes that are ready just sit there, but that makes no sense since Sprint is converting its entire network and every site. It is highly variable based on availability in a location. Contracts require the initial backhaul deployed to be scalable. It is in the ballpark of 250Mbps on average, but can be as little as 50Mbps in low usage rural areas. The backhaul providers need to be able to add capacity at Sprint's request in the future when asked. They share the bandwidth of the new backhaul. However, I don't know if there is a QOS priority. If so, I'd guess voice takes priority. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk

Network Vision/LTE - Raleigh/Durham Market (includes Fayetteville)

The Chickfila cow just sat down next to me and was looking at me use my phone. I told him the Galaxy Note 2 was cow sized. He took my phone and trotted off. I didn't know if I should laugh or run after him. He came back...fortunately. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk -
Since San Antonio is a launched market, if you have a strong LTE signal and poor speeds, I would call Sprint and complain. It is all but impossible for a LTE site to already be overloaded. So there has to be a network problem and it needs to be reported to be diagnosed and fixed. Make sure they open a ticket and give you the ticket number. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

The top rack looks like the legacy Sprint panels in my area. No sign of NV that I can see. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

Backhaul to sites is directly contracted by Sprint and not handled by the OEM's. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

This is common. Budings act as a shield and block signals. The site that serves the back of the building will likely fix the problem once it is upgraded. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

And the rest of us don't give a piss. Sorry, I couldn't resist. You set that one up too well. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

Sprint is installing LTE on its entire network this time around. It will be nothing like WiMax. Myrtle Beach market deployment will begin in 2013. I'm very sure of it. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

This is true, but I was using a benchmark of an unburdened network in my analysis in discussing throughput speeds. In such case, there would be no advantage. But your point is still valid if not considered in my discussion. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

Comments related to the NV Running List Thread

It will not launch by then. It may start by then and some signals may start going live as each site is complete. A market launch before summer in your market is unlikely. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
