  1. Which site is it? You can post either the nearest cross streets in this forum, or PM me the Site ID. That way I can mark the site as "In Progress" on the Sponsor maps. Thanks. Robert
  2. Broadcasting? No. But it shows whether a site has had CDMA 800 upgrades that have been inspected and accepted. Robert
  3. By reports from our members around the Enchanted Isle, 3G speeds at completed Network Vision sites seem to be quite stellar. Although, no one will be caring about 3G anymore once they have LTE service and a LTE device in their hand. Robert
  4. It's highly variable the speeds you will get with a weak LTE signal. Signal quality and sector load being huge factors with the signal strength. At -95dBm RSSI (-120 RSRP), I once hit 7Mbps. But most of the time, it was between 0-3Mbps at that strength in my Waco and Wichita Falls testing trials. Maybe 20% of the time getting greater than 3Mbps. It varied drastically by device, as well. I don't think I ever hit above 3Mbps on the EVO LTE with a very weak signal. Robert
  5. I ask for comic value. But I hear that I can be a jerk. Just ask all those banned people... Robert
  6. They will add more CDMA 800 soon. They expedited the iDEN channel clearing in some places because of FIT's and call drop problems (ala Chicago). DC and Baltimore have CDMA 800 being deployed now in many places. And this is probably because iDEN is already cleared off Channel 476 in that area. Sprint may have more areas add CDMA 800 now if they get into a pinch. Otherwise, they will probably just wait until July 1st to start turning them on a larger scale. Robert
  7. I have not heard any changes for Hawaii. Hoepfully they are still on for a Q1 start. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  8. I was going to say that, but I didn't want everyone to find out I'm actually an ass... But some of you already know. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  9. Speaking of multi-view... Is there a way to add apps to the multi-view side bar, or are we limited to just the ones Samsung has put there? I see the EDIT button. But only allows me to remove the ones there, not add any new apps. I don't really need the list of apps there used in tandem with each other, but rather those apps in tandem with apps not shown. 10. There is a lot of variability. Miami, Baltimore and LA all had some urban sites from the beginning. Samsung seems to do a lot of their deployment in clusters. Everyone else seems to do theirs as they are available. Rural and exurban sites are the first ones likely to be ready and available on a first come first served basis too. Rural sites are easier to access, are easier to trench (less concrete/asphalt barriers to digging) and easier/cheaper to obtain zoning and permitting (if required at all). 11. What's this Multi-View you speak of? Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  12. I don't think so. However, the Disney Resort already has fiber all over the complex. The sites there are probably ready for deployment sooner. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2

  14. As far as population or demographics, it has little impact on where they begin to deploy within a market. They upgrade the sites that are fully ready for upgrade first. Robert
  15. They have poor HSPA/HSPA+ coverage in my area. They have very good EDGE coverage. At my home and office I have a strong "E" signal. However, most of my Nexus 4 use is on WiFi. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  16. It never said in the documents that the OC48 fed all sites. I never was able to determine the full scope of that line. Since there are many different backhaul vendors being used in Chicago, it is likely that the OC48 is to serve only Sprint corporate fiber sites. Sites by AAV or microwave vendors are probably connected to the cores and backbone via a different conduit. Robert
  17. Were you in one of the coverage areas shown on this map: http://sensorly.com/map/4G/US/USA/Sprint/lte_310sprint#q=york,pennsylvania ? Did you try rebooting your iPhone? Our members have cataloged a lot of coverage in York, especially on the north side. However, it may not be in all corners of the city, yet. This articles discusses the first 125 Shentel LTE sites, not necessarily ubiquitous coverage in any specific area. Robert
  18. We have had an unseasonably warm Fall. But I am not complaining. It has been great. I'm not ready for the cold and snow. The older I get, the less I enjoy winter and cold. Thankfully I have kids old enough now to shovel and salt. When they all move out, I think I'll move south for the Winter. But I sure do enjoy our 75-85 degree summers and continual thunderstorms. 19. I love the mobile Chrome browser and have yet to experience these issues on my devices. It's how I manage S4GRU administration and sponsorships on the go. There is no mobile admin panel for IP Board and I have to use the browser on the full site. I hope that Chrome continues to perform for me. So far, so good. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2

  21. Circus Circus Oh the memories. That supermarket is the Eldorado Casino. And has been for 30 years.
  22. Sprint accepted the first eight LTE sites from Samsung last week, and they started to go live this week. It will be a slow steady deployment, with an additional 5-15 sites going live every week all over the Minnesota market. Robert
  23. Northfield will get Sprint 4G LTE coverage. However, as of now Virgin Mobile 4G only runs on 4G WiMax. Sprint stopped expanding WiMax coverage back in 2011 when they switched to LTE for its 4G technology. There will be no additional 4G WiMax coverage added, in Northfield, or anywhere. Eventually, Virgin Mobile will start adding LTE devices to its lineup. But I have no idea about timing. But if you want to LTE when it starts to go live in Northfield, you will likely need to become a Sprint customer. Robert
