  1. Perfect Strangers Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  2. Maybe. But the network will deteriorate further until Network Vision upgrades occur too. So it's hard to say. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  3. Not strange at all. Peak demand time periods are being bogged down on Sprint's legacy 3G network. Sprint is upgrading its 3G to Network Vision standards and upgrading backhaul. NV 3G sites perform much better than legacy 3G sites, like you are probably using now. Robert
  4. No it's not. Sprint can deploy more LTE carriers for more customer capacity. More LTE carriers in PCS. More in SMR. And ultimately, more with Clearwire and EBS/BRS. Sprint is actually in the best spectrum position of all. Robert
  5. It's hard to say. East Kentucky is an Ericsson market. Ericsson has typically been deploying 4G LTE first before 3G upgrades. However, this recently changed where Ericsson started deploying 3G first in the Georgia market, before 4G LTE. That has never happened before in an Ericsson market. We will not know whether Ericsson will deploy 3G Network Vision upgrades first in East Kentucky or 4G LTE, until after Sprint starts accepting sites in the market. Robert
  6. No. You just pay the $10 Premium data fee that you likely already pay. Robert
  7. The adjacent panels do not look like any legacy Sprint panels that I have ever seen. Also, the connectors of the bottom of what would be the NV panel do not look like right to me. There should be three sections (two 1900 and one 800). This one looks it has two. As for RRU's, there are most often two or three. But sometimes there has been only one. Sprint is probably on a different level on that tower. Robert
  8. The blips on Sensorly on the Buckman appear to be from a very distant site at this point. Robert
  9. The production rate was not updated the past few updates. There is a problem with the way it is being calculated. It is supposed to be based on three week average. But something has gone wonky with the formula. So I haven't updated it recently. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  10. Your complaints are rather pathetic. To complain right in the middle of active deployment is ridiculous. The speed in which Sprint and Samsung have converted sites in Puerto Rico is unprecedented. Even compared to these other carriers you attempt to honor here. Also, Sprint is upgrading every single site on the island. Every one. In less than six months. I'm still amazed. You complain, yet you stick with Sprint. Why? Is it because the other carriers in PR are more expensive and not unlimited? If that's why you stay, then you should be overjoyed at this progress. Please do not post anymore nonsensical whiny ramblings here. We don't have much sympathy. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  11. I cannot find any evidence of a live Sprint LTE site in Prairie River, Wisconsin at all. In fact, I could not find a town called Prairie River. I did find an actual body of water called Prairie River, that flows through Merrill, Wisconsin. The site in Merrill has not been upgraded, as far as I can tell. Where did you learn of this info. I don't think it is accurate. Robert
  12. Please note than on sponsor renewals, we are no longer accepting really low donation amounts (like $1). We feel that renewing members specifically understand the benefits of being a S4GRU Sponsor, and understand our costs and what it takes to keep the site online. If you are suffering from severe financial distress and up for renewal, please send me a PM explaining your circumstances. We may be able to extend your deadlines for renewal, accept a substandard donation or be able to find another member to gift your renewal for six months. However, please note that $1 renewal donations will be refunded, and your sponsorship will not be extended. Our expenses are growing every month and with the Holidays, our member giving is down. I thank you all for your understanding. And we appreciate all of you who support S4GRU. Robert
  13. Just got the first confirmed Network Vision site in the Alabama market. A rural site, NW of Gadsden, Alabama. It is marked on the NV Sites Complete map in the Sponsor section as "In Progress" until it shows up on the accepted sites report. Robert
  14. I like the idea. But I too am concerned about the timing. It is not a good time to do it. This leads me to believe that Sprint, or possibly SoftBank believes that Clearwire may be about to go rogue again. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  15. The first Santa Maria area site was upgraded and posted on our Sponsor maps last Sunday. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  16. The best way to find out for certain is drive around the suspected tower with Sensorly running. It will build a signal heat map. It will be dark purple around the offending sites. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  17. food allergy Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  18. It may be. But CDMA Field Test is only coincidentally correct if that's the case. It will only be right in the instance where you are connected to the same site for 1x and LTE. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  19. bad attitude Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  20. Danny Boy Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  21. CDMA Field Test does not show LTE sites in their map location feature. Only the 1x site. Our advanced research team of wireless nerds have not been able to find where the LTE sites squawk their location coords at all. So no app will be able to tell which LTE site it is connected to, or any time soon, without network changes and Android API changes. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  22. No. But Century Link may be providing new backhaul for the site. And that's a good thing too. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
