There are no sites in Wausau, Madison, Kenosha, Racine, Milwaukee or Waukesha that have been accepted complete yet by Sprint. Although work has started, LTE is not imminent. There have only been two sites accepted in Wisconsin markets...one in Irma (which is a GMO) and one in Sheboygan (full build). There are dozens of sites worked on or being worked on. And there have been many GMO sites worked on, especially. And as each site is inspected, given a correction list, the correction list gets fixed and reinspection occurs and is accepted, these sites will go live. It's not as if they are done and sitting there, just waiting for a switch to be flipped. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

Definitely. Best phone I've ever had. I really like the LG Android overlay. Best one of them all. Mostly pure Android, with minor tweaks that improve the experience. The RF performance is equal to the best phones made. My only criticisms is battery life, and perhaps screen size. If the Pro supported LTE Band 26 and/or 41 when/if it came to Sprint, then I would definitely pick it up. I rarely use the S pen. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

I think I prefer my Optimus G over the Note 2, except for battery life. I miss my G since I gave it to my wife. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

Google's white space spectrum database is pretty cool
S4GRU replied to WiWavelength's topic in General Topics
There was a clear lack of white space south of Downtown and north of Long Beach the last time I was there. Lots of interference. I had to leave the area to clear my reception. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD -

I posted three accepted Tucson/Yuma sites to the maps a few days ago. Will update more soon as they are accepted and I get reports from the market. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

Network Vision/LTE - Richmond & Southern Virginia Markets
S4GRU replied to darrellbooker's topic in Markets
Work in Richmond so far has been to the legacy network. Network Vision will begin in a few months in this market. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD -
Many Custom ROM's show bars correctly with EVDO and LTE. It can be an advantage of a custom ROM. The OP is referring to stock ROM's. There is no way for us to track all the Custom ROM's out there. But this is a good use of the responding posts in this thread to report when our members discover a custom ROM that does show LTE signal strength, and also report the ones that don't. It is not true of the first generation AlcaLu RRU's. They can only do CDMA or LTE on each RRU. They are supposed to be coming out with a combined one soon that can do both. Ericsson also is working on a combined one too. Also, I'm not even 100% sure the Samsung 800 RRU can do LTE and CDMA. We only know the 1900 one can and it's an assumption that the 800 also can just like the 1900 one. That assumption could be false. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

It's been reported that CM 10 series shows LTE signal strength. And fortunately it does, because it will not allow you to use dialer codes and access your LTE Engineering screen. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

What type of network is 1xRTT?
S4GRU replied to z250kid's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
1xRTT is a CDMA technology that Sprint uses for voice/SMS services. It also offers limited data connection speeds up to 144kbps. Your speeds have to actually be EVDO or eHRPD at those speeds. Your speed test software glitched or at some point during the test it switched networks. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk -
I can stream Pandora over a 100k 1x connection just fine. I can stream Netflix on a 500k 3G connection. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

First Network Vision site Accepted in the South Texas market this week. It's 3G only for the first one. But it's a good start. I will post it later when I can to the Sponsor maps. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2

I'm surprised I have not been accused of that before since I have two Verizon devices and a Tmo device, along with my dozen Sprint devices. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
