Sprint feature - Do not disturb

And you believe this to be a "new Sprint feature"? While we appreciate your first post, this was neither "new" nor a "feature" even a decade ago. It is simply part of the IS-41 core network for CDMA1X.

Didn't even know there was such a option.

Now I do.

Makes the post worthwhile then. :tu:

I think it was a useful point.

New feature? No.

Presentation is a large part of the message. The all caps subject line is a bit much for something that is not even remotely new. It may be new to some but not to those who have been around the wireless block a few times.

Dial *180 to make all calls go to voicemail

Dial *18 to allow all calls again

Its a hidden do not disturb feature

Nice post, been with Sprint frever along with other friends never heard of it, though its sort of like just muting? wish we had something like iphone maybe we do only allow certain list of numbers through regardless of setting. You know emergencies from family etc.

You know what would be nice? A list of all these feature codes (the ones that work), and what they do.

This seems like something that could get enabled (perhaps even by accident, or as a prank) and then have somebody have no idea how to disable it. Or why calls don't come in, in the first place.

That list would be great. I had a sprint phone years ago that allowed you to screen your voicemails in real time. I now wonder if that was a phone feature or a network feature.

I believe on the EVO 4G LTE you have the option to block a particular contact, so it's kind of the do not disturb feature...? No calls, no messages from that particular contact.... It's under the contacts settings....

That was just that phone 8300

Looks like it was a couple of phones that did that. I think I had a Samsung in candybar form and the wife says she had a Kyocera also in candy bar form. Both allowed you to screen voicemails. Which make was the 8300?
