Where in Greenfield? I live right around 92nd and Layton. I want some band 26!

Cleveland and hwy 100.

I'm not too familiar with the area so if I got the wrong city name my apologies. The screenshot was taken right at the intersection going south.

How's the coverage looking over by Camp Randall? I'm on AT&T with a Nexus 5 and I'm looking to switch.

Solid 4G by Camp Randall. The two closest towers are broadcasting 4G. The State Street tower is not 4G active yet, and I'm not sure what the hold up is.

I went out driving through Racine and have been getting more and more band 26. I did not expect it to progress this quickly but I'm glasnost has.

My LTE speeds at my mom's house have nearly tripled and I can actually use everything on my phone without it buffering. Woot!

I drove by the tower on I-94 in Delafield at the Sports Commons park as I do every day and there was a truck from Pieper Power working on the base station equipment (I could clearly see this because he covered the equipment from the rain).

This and the other Delafield sites are listed as 3G accepted but they do not have NV antennas.  They are above power lines.

The truck didn't have any kind of lift equipment.

I know that these sites are not listed as GMO but I do wonder if they are.  Can a site be 3G accepted without NV antennas if it will get a full upgrade?

Windsor tower+County m between waunakee and middleton+hwy 14 going west out of middleton I had band 26. Cant post screenshots as the file is too big.

Yup, that's confirmed broadcasting already. You should become a premier member and see all the amazing information Eucker87 has assembled in the Milwaukee Market premier thread.

Also, check my signature for tips on how to post screenshots through Imgur without using up storage here.

So quiet in here!

I noticed a WE Energies truck at the Sprint tower at the sports commons area in Delafield this morning.  I'd assume they are finally putting in NV antennas, and hopefully the other two Delafield towers follow today.

I'm a little surprised there's still a few towers in downtown (Cathedral Square for one) that haven't received 4G upgrades.

We have all pretty much been in the Milwaukee Premier Thread lately.  Although, even that has slowed down a bit.  Do you still have the Note 2 or have you upgraded to a Tri-band device?

Note II :(  Holding out for my upgrade in October, unfortunately.

Anyone noticed Madison speeds being significantly worse over the last week or two? Latency more than bandwidth, but both have been worse for me. Specifically the Beltline/Fish Hatch tower, but all over.

Haven't noticed anything different here.  The same of slightly better speeds and latency actually.  I spend most of my time downtown and on the west side though.

The Marketplace and Fish Hatchery towers have been real slow for me until this morning. Back up into the 20s down, 9 up. Hopefully they're preparing the B26 switch?

I have connected B26 in the area of the Fish Hatch tower. Wasn't a strong signal, so not sure if it was from that tower or another.

It's another tower and I know which one.....the answers are hiding in the premier forums.....join us on the dark side.

Work being done finally at the Delafield towers. WE Energies crews were working today on Sunday. Not sure why a little rain and some lightning bolts in the air would cause them to stop working around power lines though :)

This is at I-94 and 83. The tower a little east also is being worked on.

That tower is now lit up! I work at the ice arena right next to it. speeds are pretty fast.

Yes it is!  The tower a little east at the park is live, too.  The other Delafield tower west is NOT.

Ugly speeds near Fish Hatch and Post. Rd. and can't maintain 4g after airplane mode cycle. Makes streaming of World Cup frustrating. Any hope for improvement soon? Used to be better.

According to Sprint, the tower near Fish Hatchery at the beltline has been offline sporadically. I'm sure it'll be patched up soon.

    • Excuse my rookie comments here, but after enabling *#73#, it seems that the rainbow sim V2? requires n70 (I turned it off along with n71 - was hoping to track n66) to be available else it switches to T-Mobile.  So this confirms my suspicion that you need to be close to a site to get on Dish.  Have no idea why they don't just use plmn. To test, I put it into a s21 ultra, rebooted twice, came up on T-Mobile (no n70 on s21).  Tried to manually register on 313340, but it did not connect (tried twice). I am on factory unlocked firmware but used a s22 hack to get *#73# working.  Tried what you were suggesting with a T-Mobile sim partially installed, but that was very unstable with Dish ( I think they had figured that one out).  [edit: and now I see Boost sent me a successful device swap notice which says I can now begin to use my new device.  Sigh.  Will try again later and wait for this message - too impatient.]
    • Hopefully this indicates T-Mobile hasn't completely abandoned mmwave and/or small cells? But then again this is the loop, so take that as you will. Hopefully now that most macro activity is done (besides rural colo/builds), they will start working on small cells.
    • This has been approved.. https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/fcc-approves-t-mobiles-deal-to-purchase-mint-mobile/
    • In the conference call they had two question on additional spectrum. One was the 800 spectrum. They are not certain what will happen, thus have not really put it into their plans either way (sale or no sale). They do have a reserve level. Nationwide 800Mhz is seen as great for new technologies which I presume is IOT or 5g slices.  T-Mobile did not bite on use of their c-band or DOD.  mmWave rapidly approaching deadlines not mentioned at all. FWA brushes on this as it deals with underutilized spectrum on a sector by sector basis.  They are willing to take more money to allow FWA to be mobile (think RV or camping). Unsure if this represents a higher priority, for example, FWA Mobile in RVs in Walmart parking lots working where mobile phones need all the capacity. In terms of FWA capacity, their offload strategy is fiber through joint ventures where T-Mobile does the marketing, sales, and customer support while the fiber company does the network planning and installation.  50%-50% financial split not being consolidated into their books. I think discussion of other spectrum would have diluted the fiber joint venture discussion. They do have a fund which one use is to purchase new spectrum. Sale of the 800Mhz would go into this. It should be noted that they continue to buy 2.5Ghz spectrum from schools etc to replace leases. They will have a conference this fall  to update their overall strategies. Other notes from the call are 75% of the phones on the network are 5g. About 85% of their sites have n41, n25, and n71, 90% 5g.  93% of traffic is on midband.  SA is also adding to their performance advantage, which they figure is still ahead of other carriers by two years. It took two weeks to put the auction 108 spectrum to use at their existing sites. Mention was also made that their site spacing was designed for midrange thus no gaps in n41 coverage, while competitors was designed for lowband thus toggles back and forth for n77 also with its shorter range.
    • The manual network selection sounds like it isn't always scanning NR, hence Dish not showing up. Your easiest way to force Dish is going to be forcing the phone into NR-only mode (*#*#4636#*#* menu?), since rainbow sims don't support SA on T-Mobile.
