The problem is that the touch sensors (digitizer) are integrated with the outer glass, so if you crack the glass it breaks the circuit for the touch sensors. The galaxy nexus had a seprate layer of glass on top and I ran it over with my car the screen is cracked all over but the touch sensors still work great. For a diy, its not too difficult to replace the G2 lcd and digitizer. for about $90 and a cheap heat gun looks good as new. the digitizer itself usually goes for $40 but is extremely difficult to separate without tearing the lcd.

also I downloaded the TMobile USB drivers from LG as there was no link on the sprint page. and used the newest android sdk http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-D801 http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html on windows 7 install usb drivers .extract the sdk and navigate to the platform-tools folder. hold the shift key while right clicking the mouse and go to open in command prompt. put the phone in developer mode 7 presses on the build number in phone settings the find the developer options and enable adb over usb. connect the g2 to your pc with usb cable. type adb devices to verify the g2 is seen. then type adb pull /system/etc/apns-conf

heres mine did not touch anything lte related completely stock. works great with 1900 lte and 1x800 voice apns-conf.xml

yes I have been getting 4 bars from windsor in the car connecting to the far east. It was usually 3 before.

I checked it, but at -141dbm i know its a very weak signal. Being the closest tower is either Middleton or mount horeb at 10-12 miles away with many large hills in between I cant believe I would be getting anything at all. I get no 3g or 1x from either of those towers.

Why does it say I'm getting LTE signal in black earth while roaming 1x on us cellular? There's no way I'm getting signal from the Middleton tower.
