Boulder hwy and water st. I got lte this last night and this morning.

Yeah I got a blip of LTE at that spot. I had Sensorly running at the time so it should be mapped. I couldn't find the cell site that it was coming from though. And driving around for a few minutes, I couldn't replicate the signal.

I can't figure it out either.

It might be the tower up at Boulder & Gibson.

Think y'all need to post the message about the speedtests before this turns into the NYC e-penis thread.

iPhone users can't map but they sure can post screen shots of their location they found LTE, the signal strength, and the LTE engineering screen showing both the serving cell and cell identity on the same screen. They can even track down the sites via the signal strength and cell identity using the last 2 digits after turning it into HEX to cheat if they want.

Its been a couple months sense I posted pictures of the equipment being replaced in Kingman and for the most part, it appears most of the towers have been updated (If not all) in the area. I've seen the new sites up from Kingman to Havasu, a lot of the sites have removed the old hardware, and there is a noticeable difference in distance and speed in 3G. North of Kingman there is a small golf community called Valley Vista which is in line of sight but about 16 miles north. There used to be little to no service there, but now I can get around there with 2-4 bars depending on my location.

Still no LTE. Does anyone know how long it takes from the time its a up and running network to flip the switch? Another quick question, its about backhaul. Does LTE have its own dedicated network that it uses separate from the others? It seems for over a year now that during peak times 3G isn't just slow, it's literally unusable even when running on new equipment. Can someone explain to me how this will improve with LTE?

It seems to me when I drove thru Kingman last Thursday that backhaul hasn't been done there yet. It's crazy to me. And when Network Vision is complete, 1X/EVDO/LTE will all run thru the new backhaul. Hopefully soon it will all come into place, but not before I come back thru on Monday.

Damn I have a really bad data outage from 10 pm last night any 1 knows what's going on by tropicana and Nellis

It could be anything from a power outage to someone went and dug and severed a fiber line because they weren't paying attention, to an issue at the switch, or even too many users using that site all at once. The bad thing is in a market that has not been announced if it has to do with LTE, they won't open a trouble ticket. <img src='http://s4gru.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

You might get some service inside some of the CityCenter hotels according to Sensorly, especially the front of The Cosmopolitan.

They better hurry up before summer for their own sake in Las Vegas. I know how brutal the summer is there. I won't go near the strip in the middle of summer.

Sake in Las Vegas? Maybe if Softbank holds their first Spank convention there. Then the sake will be flowing!

Daughter works at the RIO...Sensorly shows lte up & down I15 but not INSIDE the RIO; I'll be going there next week; upstairs on the second floor I get the strongest Wimax signal INSIDE anywhere I've been in Vegas..so I'll take my SW Tri Fi and MacBook to see how strong LTE is at the same spot; I can't map it (no LTE phone yet) but I can hopefully get some download tests to share; if I get an LTE signal I'll move around in the casino to see how well it penetrates..

    • Since this is kind of the general chat thread, I have to share this humorous story (at least it is to me): Since around February/March of this year, my S22U has been an absolute pain to charge. USB-C cables would immediately fall out and it progressively got worse and worse until it often took me a number of minutes to get the angle of the cable juuuussst right to get charging to occur at all (not exaggerating). The connection was so weak that even walking heavily could cause the cable to disconnect. I tried cleaning out the port with a stable, a paperclip, etc. Some dust/lint/dirt came out but the connection didn't improve one bit. Needless to say, this was a MONSTER headache and had me hating this phone. I just didn't have the finances right now for a replacement.  Which brings us to the night before last. I am angry as hell because I had spent five minutes trying to get this phone to charge and failed. I am looking in the port and I notice it doesn't look right. The walls look rough and, using a staple, the back and walls feel REALLY rough and very hard. I get some lint/dust out with the staple and it improves charging in the sense I can get it to charge but it doesn't remove any of the hard stuff. It's late and it's charging, so that's enough for now. I decide it's time to see if that hard stuff is part of the connector or not. More aggressive methods are needed! I work in a biochem lab and we have a lot of different sizes of disposable needles available. So, yesterday morning, while in the lab I grab a few different sizes of needles between 26AWG and 31 AWG. When I got home, I got to work and start probing the connector with the 26 AWG and 31 AWG needle. The stuff feels extremely hard, almost like it was part of the connector, but a bit does break off. Under examination of the bit, it's almost sandy with dust/lint embedded in it. It's not part of the connector but instead some sort of rock-hard crap! That's when I remember that I had done some rock hounding at the end of last year and in January. This involved lots of digging in very sandy/dusty soils; soils which bare more than a passing resemblance to the crap in the connector. We have our answer, this debris is basically compacted/cemented rock dust. Over time, moisture in the area combined with the compression from inserting the USB-C connector had turned it into cement. I start going nuts chiseling away at it with the 26 AWG needle. After about 5-10 minutes of constant chiseling and scraping with the 26AWG and 31AWG needles, I see the first signs of metal at the back of the connector. So it is metal around the outsides! Another 5 minutes of work and I have scraped away pretty much all of the crap in the connector. A few finishing passes with the 31AWG needle, a blast of compressed air, and it is time to see if this helped any. I plug my regular USB-C cable and holy crap it clicks into place; it hasn't done that since February! I pick up the phone and the cable has actually latched! The connector works pretty much like it did over a year ago, it's almost like having a brand new phone!
    • That's odd, they are usually almost lock step with TMO. I forgot to mention this also includes the September Security Update.
    • 417.55 MB September security update just downloaded here for S24+ unlocked   Edit:  after Sept security update install, checked and found a 13MB GP System update as well.  Still showing August 1st there however.
    • T-Mobile is selling the rest of the 3.45GHz spectrum to Columbia Capital.
    • Still nothing for my AT&T and Visible phones.
