  1. Its been a couple months sense I posted pictures of the equipment being replaced in Kingman and for the most part, it appears most of the towers have been updated (If not all) in the area. I've seen the new sites up from Kingman to Havasu, a lot of the sites have removed the old hardware, and there is a noticeable difference in distance and speed in 3G. North of Kingman there is a small golf community called Valley Vista which is in line of sight but about 16 miles north. There used to be little to no service there, but now I can get around there with 2-4 bars depending on my location. Still no LTE. Does anyone know how long it takes from the time its a up and running network to flip the switch? Another quick question, its about backhaul. Does LTE have its own dedicated network that it uses separate from the others? It seems for over a year now that during peak times 3G isn't just slow, it's literally unusable even when running on new equipment. Can someone explain to me how this will improve with LTE?
  2. Well, its here and started. The guys working on it were kind enough to talk to me for a couple minutes and said they were doing a full build. I don't know if 800MHz LTE is in there, because he didn't mention it, but I know 800 MHz CDMA is. Supposed to be a couple weeks till its up and running. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jgaporv1zdv9uzn/joftCc3wRj
  3. Awesome news! Especially sense I live in Kingman. However, being that this area has come now, are we going to be getting 800 mHz? The reason I ask is when I look at the market maps the market is fairly large. As a matter of fact, Mohave County, which is mostly taken up in this market, is the fifth largest county in the country, and we do have issues with no coverage areas here, it would be nice to see us getting the 800 mHz to enhance the signal distance a little.
  4. I have to agree with mtsmedly, I would switch back to the OG Evo, WiMax there has a pretty good spread, and isn't over-saturated, so its useable. 3G is sad there, too much concrete on the strip...
  5. I picked one up for my wife this weekend, so far the phone is working great. Screen looks sharp, its quick, and connectivity is a lot better than the Optimus S that she had. Oh, and did I say, its quick?
