  1. and that's the problem. I do not think there are many manufacturers out there that get it. They way i see it is if you announce a device today, you better make sure it is available either at that moment or at least not more than a week away. The longer you wait, the longer it fades away from the potential buyers memory. As for the Aquos, Sharp being that they are getting back into the game and selling their phones stateside, they should have been ready to sell them the moment the device was announced. But alas, they wait and wait. We wait and wait and eventually it fades away while other devices come into view (sometimes with better specs, looks etc). TS
  2. Great now I have that song in my head all day.
  3. Yeah that's the one I usually use for my phone sig (which i have to redo again). another one I like to use for phone size compare is versus.com. both the versus one and phonearena one usually have the latest phones in their database. TS
  4. Now you tell me. lol I used a regular toothpaste. Actually went to the store and got both the rubbing alcohol and toothpaste and neither worked. although if I keep the lens wet, the picture actually comes out clearer, but still. I tried. Hopefully the OPs' HTC M8 fairs better. This Mega is on its last leg anyway. She's going down. Only a month or two left in her before I get that bug for a new phone anyway. TS
  5. Well it can't do any worse that's for sure lol. Thanks
  6. hmmm I just may try that. i have the same issue on my Galaxy Mega Lens. So do you just put the toothpaste on the qtip and rub the lens dry or do you wet the qtip with water first? TS
  7. The docs were posted back in post # 118. As for that date, I doubt it. I don't recall Sprint ever releasing a device on Saturday. If anything the day before on Friday the 10th. That is the day that SamMobile predicted but I feel it may be sooner than that. see post. We'll find out soon enough though. At least for the Note 4. The Note Edge would probably be much later. Edit: I went through my list of Sprint Released phone from 2000 up to mid 2012 and I stand corrected. there have been quite a few phones released on Saturday and Sunday. The most have been on Mondays and Fridays though. TS
  8. Something tells me that is a song I should know but can't place who sings it. lol
  9. DisplayMate conducts its test on both the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge. What I find interesting (among other things) is the following from the article.. bottom line conclusion is that it has the best display on the market. See the sources links below for further details. Sources: Android Headlines <-- for article DisplayMate <-- for actual tests and graphs TS out
  10. And I am not in the mood to see members calling others names. Original question was answered therefore this thread will be closed. Play nice people. TS
  11. Someone posted on twitter tonight and I had to retweet cause it had me lmao. $900 for a iphone 6? airplane mode better take me on vacation. TS
  12. But will the camera lens be protected is what I am wondering? Samsung has a habit of having their lens protrude and if not put in a case can be easily scratched. It doesn't look like the HTC E8 will have that issue. oh btw, video review of the E8. (Those Sprint speedtest results at time index 7:43 is impressive). TS out
  13. Sprint up 21% in three days since introducing the "iPhone for Life" plan Source: Bloomberg
  14. I can't see myself with having a device for 2 long years anymore, its either every year or less. Too bad my wallet doesn't agree with me. lol
  15. Seems to be on track to be sold by Oct 3rd and not Oct 10. Unless Sprint waits a week to see what others are pricing it to undercut them and sell it a week later on the 10 like Sammobile said it would. TS
  16. This is true. Just proves the point that folks want a bigger phone but for Apple to not be ready is quite odd. Go to versus.com and enter the phones you want to compare and it shows you visually. i believe there is also a Photoshop cutout template somewhere (I think it was on android police) that you can print, attach to a cardboard and cut it to size to see how it feels in your hand as well as put in your pants. TS
  17. Unless things have changed, in regard to having Sprint/Softbank sponsor/contribute to the cost of s4gru, I believe it was brought up a while ago in another thread and the consensus was that it may not be good in the long run. Sponsor like any member sure, but sponsor in the form of a partnership where they (Sprint) can dictate what is said or not, then no was the majority consensus. But that was all before with Hesse in charge and Son micromanaging everything. Now with "I'll take it from here boss" Marcelo it may be worth re-visiting this topic once again. He has shown so far to be very good in sweeping out the bad and bringing in what works rather quickly. Considering that s4GRU has been in the forefront of relaying the status of network deployment much better than Sprint does themselves and keeping customers in the loop, he may just be open to such a partnership with s4GRU. Especially since he currently does this with his stance on keeping his employees and customers in the loop. As for offering Robert and the staff working with Sprint. I would be inclined to say it won't happen, but I've seen stranger things before (Google buying Motorola for instance). Regardless, considering that Marcelo refused to do 2 separate email accounts as per his executives and will only have one email at the company, (as per one article recently), maybe Robert should email him his ideas directly. As for Marcelo joining S4GRU as a member, it would be cool if he did. Or at least someone high up in the marketing, network, or device departments. More times than not, executives do not get involved in online discussion rooms to see first hand the desires and issues their company may have from the very people that are using their services. TS
  18. I'm still at version 2.1 and it doesn't show any update in the play store. That 2.1.3 update in the Google+ page didn't want to be installed for some reason. TS
  19. Speaking of Samsung, I wonder if Samsung was waiting to see to see what the prices were for the iPhones before they go announce how much the Notes will be. I wonder if they will price their devices much lower, TS
  20. I agree with Robert, its alot of money especially for the 128GB version, but I've spent over $950 on devices easily like laptops (already gone through 3 this year alone) But on a phone, oh hell no. If I had to absolutely positively have to have a iPhone 6 Plus at 128GB (or a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 64GB) I would put it on easy pay and have the phones price split up so my wallet won't feel the hurt or swallow my desire of having a new phone each year and just go for the 2 year contract. TS
  21. Gotta be mobile shows the prices. and all I can say is Yikes. TS
