  1. Not all of Sprint's network is EVDO. The old iPCS areas were 1x. Regardless, western PA was also all 1x and recently got EVDO upgrades so they will convert these areas.
  2. You're not a sponsor but in recent updates, Lancaster has been receiving some NV love. None were listed as 4G yet, so this is a great sign!
  3. 800mhz is Sprint's prized possession. It's the only thing that puts them on the same level as T and VZ. They would never get rid of it.
  4. Average Revenue per User. If your customers are on plans that are dirt cheap, it's hard to believe Sprint maintains one of the highest ARPUs in the industry.
  5. Hard to believe some of the ARPU numbers Sprint posts if there really are many SERO plans still out there.
  6. We would have no way of knowing that but if we use history as a judge, probably not.
  7. I always though it was implied that they are. It's only mentioned regarding 800mhz because much focus has been placed on the repurposing of that spectrum.
  8. Sprint's coverage maps are now showing the old iPCS areas in Western/Central PA as being EVDO covered. If anyone can check this out, it would be much appreciated. I've been waiting for this, looks like they show all of I80 being covered.
  9. Is the implication you're pointing out that it is ALU equipment causing this? 800smr works fine on other devices including the S3 on their equipment.
  10. Shentel started buying equipment/deployment a considerable amount of time AFTER Sprint.
  11. It's not luck. Look at Shentel. They used ALU and are damn near complete with their rollout. I wouldn't point the finger at ALU as being a poor vendor.
  12. I also saw that Sprint raised the fee they charge Shentel to 14% from 12%, the highest their contract will allow. I remember reading it was elastic, interesting Sprint chose to raise it.
  13. Did you seriously just ask that in this thread? Did you actually read the posts?
  14. Well, more accurately, they WILL be shutting down CLWR sites where CLWR is co-located with Sprint. Wouldn't make much sense to pay 2 site leases when you are on the same tower but different racks. I realize the point your making but just wanted to point that out.
  15. Much appreciated. I won't be back in the area until this weekend to get some mapping done.
  16. I'd say a little bias is showing in this post. Shentel had to do all the same updates as Sprint, it's not like they did a network overlay. While they have less sites, they also have less resources and are a much smaller company.
  17. Well if BRS goes nationwide at least we know GMOs will be taken care of.
  18. But within each of the panels, they can adjust downtilt independently per antenna, correct? I would imagine if they needed to have antennas pointed in multiple directions, even if the number of carriers didn't call for multiple antennas, they would need to use 2 just to get the RF propagation where they need it.
