  1. I don't know if anyone else saw this article on light reading: http://www.lightreading.com/document.asp?doc_id=222152& The analyst mentioned in the article states that what was expected to be a large push in the second quarter of orders/builds is being pushed out ot the third quarter. Thoughts?
  2. Robert, do you have any idea why they have neglected to do any upgrades in the center of the city so far?
  3. I see, I wasn't intending to sound negative, just an observation. I guess I didn't realize what a short time all these plans came together in and how recently things were finalized. Sprint definitely did have to play some serious catch-up from the end of last year to be where they are now.
  4. So I'm seeing a pattern with all of these markets. Essentially Sprint initially planned on launching mid-2012 with 50% of the market completed. Instead, they're now going to end up launching short of that 50%, I assume this implies they're behind schedule?
  5. I see that you keep referencing Alltell and VZW seperately, aren't they the same entity? Alltell got bought out by them years ago?
  6. I believe they've already stated they can only "thin" out 9600 sites without adversely affecting coverage, outside of building penetration.
  7. I'd say there's a Clearwire location much closer to your location at work than a Sprint site. Not all Clearwire sites are colocated with Sprint sites.
  8. I got an EVOLTE on Saturday, no LTE yet. However, I did notice NV towers throughout Camp Hill around the Carlisle Pike and EVDO DL's ~2.2mb/s.
  9. It seems that with a decent number of flagship slim form factor phones, antenna performance is lacking. Aesthetics trumps it in importance I suppose.
  10. Now that these phones are in peoples hands... how is the antenna design on the them? I was scared of getting a GNex because of the compaints about reception, any complaints with these?
  11. I live in Harrisburg and was curious on the timing for Shentel. They've publicly stated that the marjority of their towers will be upgraded in 2012 with the remaining in 2013. Seeing as this is one of the more populous areas within their service region, I was hoping it would be early. I wasn't sure however, seeing as they are based out of VA, and thought maybe they would concentrate on that area first. I'll be getting an EVO LTE soon, so I'll keep an eye out.
  12. I'd just like to add that they cover a pretty large area of south-central PA as well.
  13. Thanks, I was wondering when they were going to announce 1Q results. Odd they waited this long.
  14. Thanks, I had already listened to their Q4 Investor Q&A session. Glad they worked out rights to use 800mhz spectrum. From what they stated, it sounds like they're starting sites/backhaul in 2012 and finishing up in 2013. I've been watching to see when they release their Q1 results but haven't seen anything yet.
  15. Robert, I've been following this board for a long time and live in an area serviced by Shentel. Before I realized the area I live in is serviced by them, I always wondered why I saw no updates on network.sprint.com around my location. Do you have any information about their progress thus far with NV or is the documentation you have strictly tied to the areas serviced by Sprint?
