  1. Why would Sprint be upgrading its own network while also having T-Mobile upgrade theirs? That essentially IS the Nextel debacle... operating two networks.
  2. Considering they own 80% of Sprint and are on the board, this is definitely at the urge of Softbank. I'm not for it at all. More lost competition.
  3. From what I've seen, I don't believe Google has even rolled out business service yet. And they had issues with people trying to use their residential gig connections for business uses. Google is much more interested in advertising to consumers, not businesses.
  4. http://newsroom.sprint.com/news-releases/sprint-turns-up-the-volume-on-3g-and-4g-lte-in-chicago.htm?previousArticle=11238&nextArticle=11236&gotoArt=%2Fnews-releases%2Fsprint-turns-up-the-volume-on-3g-and-4g-lte-in-chicago.htm Original Sprint article concerning Spark in Chicago.
  5. From Shentel's earnings calls, they've stated Q1 2014. I'd expect it to go live in January/February.
  6. Glad I didn't pre-order the G2 based on the issues going on. Seeing how far Shentel is along in the rollout, Sprint must have found out about this issue rather late that even Shentel didn't have time to get the proper items in place for eCSFB.
  7. Seeing as almost all of Shentel is upgraded on the 3G side, I don't think eCSFB should be an issue in their territories.
  8. A PRL update would be of no consequence as neither 800 nor 1900 have priority over each other. Neither is "favored".
  9. No. If you have 1900, it won't search for 800. Once you get bumped to 800 (when you hit an area with 800 coverage and poor 1900), generally you'll keep it unless you enter an area without 800mhz support. I generally don't pick up 800 mhz after coming back to Shentel areas until going deep inside a building. Shentel's 1900mhz is pretty damn good which is why you don't necessarily pick up 800 quickly.
  10. Does anyone think they may consider dropping the Sprint name altogether once they get this "Spark" term out there? Or do you think it will stay as a product of Sprint?
  11. What I quoted was total with taxes, yes.
  12. I have a 4 line Everything Data family plan with a 15% discount and my monthly bill is around $225. The discount is only off the $110 base price.
  13. That's how every wireless operator runs things. VZW didn't include AWS in their phones until recently. Fact of life with technology.
  14. To be fair, the Nexus5 looks to start at $349.
  15. Should be able to. EDIT - I stand corrected.
  16. I wouldn't say I'm forgetting anything. Sprint crossed vendors for NV. They had no Samsung equipment and now that's a third of their network. I've heard of no issues with Samsung being crossed with ALU legacy hardware. It also appears Sprint had no idea there was the Motorola/Samsung issue until deployment started. Also, I think VZ and T using ALU validates that they aren't second rate.
  17. Most of all this is what bothers me, IF what is being said is true... what would that say about Sprint? Choosing a vendor whose equipment is inferior for some of their largest markets: NY, Boston, Philadelphia, DC, Baltimore.
  18. So outside of hearsay, which everyone repeats... Where is there any proof ALU equipment is subpar?
  19. The market is having the most updates it ever has. Seeing as you're a member, you should be looking at the Completion Map and not the running list.
  20. For a single day of acceptances, I'd take it.
  21. With iOS7 we now have the end of bars and the beginning of dots.
