Sprint needs more competition because unlimited is is not good enough on their network.

Yea sprint is definitely not the best carrier to be on at this moment unless you live in Chicago and other first round markets. Everytime I hear news like this I want to throw my phone out the window and jump carriers . Sprint should be awesome in a year or two but I'm trying to live for today since there is no guarantee that any of us will be live tomorrow.

Poor Sprint. T-Mobile just leap frogged them again in LTE coverage. 200 million covered and 233 metro cities vs Sprints like 173 cities and numbers that Sprint won't even release because its probably not that much coverage compared to the competition. T-Mobile also anncouned 20/20 mhz LTE scheduled for next year and no roaming in 100 countries. Combine that with the fact that the G2 will be released almost 2 months later than the other carriers and no One Up in DC/Florida makes me very sad for Sprint this year

I know better but sprint is the carrier that everyone loves to hate and its going to take a lot of change to win people back over. I don't know if sprint had a choice or not but they should have never let the network degrade the way it was in the first place and people wouldn't complain as much.

I have called sprint plenty of time and they always say there will be a call back and it never is. I got a call back once like a year ago. There technical support is as useless as Sprint reps in my opinion.

I personally don't mind that its disabled for the time being as long as it can be enabled. The fcc docs from the G2 made it look to be the most powerful 1900 LTE performer of any Sprint LTE device including the Note 3.

Yeah but everyone made it seem like sprint could have LTE advanced before everyone else and that's not the case at all. Verizon is so far in the LTE game that even if they have to physically go to towers they could still finish first.

GREAT NEWS. Really makes me doubt 800 LTE is coming online by the end of this year though. If it does it would likely be Chicago, Baltimore and a few other cities but most of the country won't see this benefit until 2014

Cutting the cord is great unless you have data caps. While I only use about 3-6 gbs on Sprint a month. I use 310-400gbs of data a month on Cox and they have a cap of 300gigs that I go over almost every month even when we try not to. They send me a letter saying they can cut off service if I don't stop every month while before I cut off cable this never happened. Netflix alone uses 2.4 gbs a hour. Not to mention hulu, amazon instant, streaming music, downloading music. I can see why he would want to do this. I probably would use Sprint a little more but not alot as I don't want to be a data hog.

Its simple. This is a Sprint only device so they have more control over the box. If you notice every phone that is a sprint exclusive comes in that same brown cardboard box and if its a international type of phone like the GS3, HTC ONE etc then its the same box as the other carriers get.
