  1. I'm using the 6 without a case and it feels so right in hand. I played with a note 3 in the store for an hour (they didn't have a plus on display and the note is quite similar in size). It's too big to comfortably operate one-handed and carry, imo. The bigger battery would have been nice, though. The 6 is a homerun in the size/feel department. Sent from my iPhone 6
  2. I got there on the 19th, and found it all over the place. Everywhere except the strip. Looks like Vegas is finally rockin and rollin Sent from my iPhone 6
  3. Surely, they must have a unique gci, right? Or would they just appear as a regular site. Sent from my iPhone 6
  4. So, I need some help. I last used my iPhone 5s on 7.1.2, and ran an iCloud backup. It's not allowing me to restore that backup on my 6 with 8.0. Can you only restore from the same iOS version? Also, I can't seem to get my photo stream back. I've tried disabling/re-enabling that feature, and nothing appears in my "photos" app. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone 6
  5. I just heard on the news that O'Hare has once again reclaimed the title of "worlds busiest airport." First time since 2004. Just in time, Sprint. It's good to be a Sprint customer these days.
  6. Mike, you're the programmer, and I'm just a user with zero programming experience, but wouldn't it be possible/easier to just show the connected band by gci? What I mean is, instead of worrying about the plmn sticking on certain phones, and not showing band 41 all the time. What about just a rule of "whenever the gci ends in xx, it will equal band 26, 07F/00A/00B/087 = band 41 (Chicago), etc.." Just a thought.
  7. I drive by O'Hare nightly on Manheim, but I'll be inside to leave for my honeymoon on Sunday. How do I check for a das?
  8. Well, I'm on board with the 6. Just picked mine up. What a homerun this phone is. It's a perfect size, and the way it switches between bands is phenomenal. Way better than the 5s. I'm so happy right now. Sent from my iPhone 6
  9. Be careful with these iPhones, folks. Nbc Chicago just ran a story about people reporting their phones are being easily bent. http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/national-international/276854531.html?_osource=SocialFlowFB_CHBrand
  10. I'm so torn about which phone to buy. All the Sprint stores I've called only have the 6 on display, not the plus. I need to hold both, but I just can't stand the amount of people in an Apple store this time of year. A few of my local stores actually have some 128's in stock, ready for full price purchase (I was shocked).
  11. Yes. Only the sector id in brackets will change, but if the site id stays the same, you'll get the same note.
  12. I just got back to our awesomeness from the stone ages of the Vegas strip. Smoking a cigarette outside of midway just enjoying all these carriers.
  13. You absolutely can get the the gci. You have to covert the cell identity decimal to hex. Add a zero to the beginning of your result. Use this one. http://www.binaryhexconverter.com/decimal-to-hex-converter
  14. Don't Apple stores get an undetermined amount of new stock daily?
  15. Should I be reporting band 41 while I'm on vacation here in Vegas? Been here an hour and have found it in Henderson.
  16. Oh. My. God. I just saw this on the news. First guy to buy an iPhone 6 in Perth, Australia drops his phone on camera
  17. No, just no. This is a common misconception with faster, modern-day connectivity. You receive your bits of data faster, but not more of them. If you load cnn.com 100 times on 3g, you'll use the same amount of data as loading it up through a gigabit fiber line.
  18. Yeah, I went to walgreens today to buy rubbing alcohol, and there were actually strength choices: 70% isopropyl, and 91%. Since the scratches were really angering me, I rage purchased the 91% 'er, and rubbed that lens to death with a soaked Q-tip. Worked like a charm. Thanks for the help, folks.
  19. I'm enjoying living vicariously through you folks that preordered. With all your tracking numbers and stuff. I feel like my invisible 6+ 64gb space gray is being delivered tomorrow.
  20. ios 8 is so encrypted that Apple couldn't turn over user data even if presented with a warrant from law enforcement. http://gizmodo.com/apple-wont-turn-over-your-phones-data-to-police-if-your-1636197341?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
  21. Apparently, you can track on ups.com using only your phone number. Some iPhone pre-order'ers are reporting this method to give you more information than Apple's website. Source: http://www.cultofmac.com/296367/track-ups-order-just-phone-number/
  22. Spigen cases are incredibly nice, and that neo hybrid looks sweet. Are you buying the 6 plus?
  23. This doesn't even seem right
  24. If it helps, I've ordered 3 devices from Sprint and have never received a tracking email. When I ordered 5s's for me and my fiance last September, I had to actually call to get the order number to track on their website. After checking randomly every day, a UPS tracking number just showed up one day, and the package was already out for delivery. Their ordering process seems jacked up to me.
  25. Does anyone know if Sprint will replace the camera lens glass on my m8 if I have insurance? I don't know how, but my lens looks like someone scratched it up with sandpaper. I can't even take decent pictures anymore. :/
