  1. I would not take the OTA. Just wait for your favorite dev to update and then update the radio and such via the bootloader (I'm assuming you are S-OFF).
  2. You might give Google Now a try on a JB device if you haven't already. I know it was kind of patched together to get it to work on ICS and I had problems with it all the time. I've used it a couple of times on my Dad's GS3 and it worked perfectly.
  3. I thought the same thing. Let's hope its included they just didn't want to fess up.
  4. It does look more legit this time... but not getting my hopes up haha. No listing of an LTE fix or improvement. Hopefully HTC/Sprint included it, just didn't want to own up to it.
  5. If I remember reading around here, removing the RTSP/HTTP settings will cause problems with profile updates and honestly I don't think have any effect on LTE connectivity. Also with the scan timer, I've played around with different settings and it doesn't fix the issue permanently. I've only noticed a couple times I'll walk out from deep in my building where I can only get 3G and it will auto switch to 4G. Other times it takes quite awhile before switching.

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

Did you have to pay for HTC Repair? Since there has been no resolution to this point, I couldn't imagine paying for something and get something back still not working correctly.

    Nexus 7

Sams club has the 32GB for $238 and I think with tax for my area is like $19 so roughly at $250. Free standard shipping online. Really thinking about picking up one for the old lady so I can play with it.
  8. I'd say for the EVO LTE since HTC has already been working on it (I hope) will probably be like 4.1.1 or 4.1.2
  9. Was back to no update available. I shut off WiFi now I'm getting error 1012.
  10. Good catch! I had just checked awhile ago and got no update available. Now I'm getting the same 1233 error. or maybe too many people querying the server? :-)
  11. Even if it isn't Jellybean, an update with fixes and enhancements is always welcome.
  12. Not sure if anybody looked at this image in the android central thread Under Fixes/Enhancements --- Upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich ..... ummm?? ok?
  13. Hello. My name is Lee, and I am a 4Gaholic. My addiction has been pretty bad lately. I have to drive usually about an hour from home just to get my fix. I've built up a tolerance so the high usually doesn't last long. All Emporia has is the 3G stuff and it doesn't give me the rush that 4G does. Once I'm back in Emporia, I start to fiend for 4G and the cravings are immense. I need to get help.
  14. They considered the 2.13 OTA MR2 .... http://community.sprint.com/baw/thread/97470?start=0&tstart=0
  15. And the 2.13 OTA was released on 8-29
  16. For the most part they are the long NV panels that support both 1900/800. At first thought, I thought it might of been the angle but taking a double look at it now and seeing that 800 MHz isn't even wired up... this site must have not been planned for 800 MHz since they put up the short fat panels. I should get back to this site and check it out again. Looking at the other sectors, the panels look a bit longer.... so I'm wondering if for some reason they decided to do this 1 specific sector without 800 support.
  17. I can dig around and find some. Someone just posted some good ones but I can't remember which thread I was in.
  18. I haven't had any adverse side effects from doing so. Only downside is when going out of LTE you are left on 1X. I was doing some comparisons while up in Manhattan KS the other weekend. I was up in the northwest part of Manhattan where there aren't any towers upgraded near by. On my standard setting, I was not able to connect to LTE... even with powercycling. Once I switch the mode (I used *#*#4636#*#* but ##DATA# can be used as well) I was instantly connected to LTE and was moving about. It was a weak LTE signal, anywhere from -110 to -120, but I was able to do speedtests with a week signal (6.5down 1.5up). I mapped this out on sensorly as well.
  19. Robert, did you happen to test the EVO LTE with the CDMA LTE only setting under ##DATA# while you were in Waco?
  20. Yeah the LTE scan timer can be adjusted, but once you get to a certain point the phone will give up LTE and default back to 3G.
  21. Only problem is nobody has been able to find the threshold values. And if there is other issues besides the threshold adjustment, HTC/Sprint will need to fix them.
  22. I would hope Sprint would pass on this and expect something even better to be announced March/April and a June/July release next year.
  23. Agreed. I'm waiting for my father to get back from vacation so I can test side by side with his GS3. But so far I have noticed a huge improvement when using the LTE,CDMA mode versus normal settings.
