  1. http://www.androidcentral.com/htc-plans-successor-5-inch-butterfly Maybe they are planning a slightly larger device.
  2. I was just in the local sprint store here the other day. While waiting I got to hear the store manager tell a customer how she was going to get rid of her home ISP because of how fast LTE is. She was going to get a hotspot for her family at home to share. Then she proceeds to tell the customer not to actually use WiFi as it drains the battery more. And finally to top it off, her final answer to the customers couple of questions was "they are working on the towers".
  3. I would call them up and ask if you can get your upgrade pushed up. It is only available to certain customers but if you are eligible and so close to your upgrade date it should be $50.
  4. You might be eligible to get Sprint to push up your upgrade for $50. Might be worth a shot if your OG is about to crap out and you are wanting to get the One on launch.
  5. There is a possibility that signal could improve with the new NV equipment since the radios are directly behind the panels and not down at the base stations although that can be negated by down tilt. However, with 800 1X CDMA soon and 800 LTE on the horizon, you should see improvement with those frequencies. Anybody else feel free to chime in if I missed something.
  6. Did you get that in an email from pre-registering? Just curious as I pre-registered the other day but haven't got anything
  7. After preregistering for the $100 trade in deal, HTC advised you need to purchase the One before April 26th . So if it is May 4th, I guess that's HTC's round about way of ensuring nobody gets the $100 trade in deal haha
  8. My upgrade was in June but I got Sprint to bump it up early. I just registered for the HTC Trade up program. For fun I thought I would see how much they would give me for my Touch Pro 2 and come to find out they will still give $100 for the TP2.
  9. On the EVO with a Sense ROM, try setting the Preferred Mode to CDMA HDR LTE Only. That should allow you to connect to 4G when available and fallback to 3G if signal is too week or in a non 4G area.
  10. Just to make sure, the network mode was set to LTE/CDMA correct?
  11. I'm hopeful there will be S-OFF for the HTC One and will go that route. The HTC Dev unlocking is a joke anyways. It has already been rooted. Hopefully S-OFF is right around the corner:
  12. Haha yeah after i posted that i pulled up my debug screen and what ya know... it is already there. Man its already been one of those days.
  13. Kind of off topic, but say the GS4 does have support for LTE Band 26 or 41 (or both), and when Sprint starts to deploy ... will we have a way through maybe the engineering screen to easily identify if we are connected to either LTE Band 26 or 41?
  14. We've got the wait for the announcement tonight and then the wait for the device to hit the FCC. Hopefully that shouldn't take long
  15. I wonder how "unlocked" that bootloader is...
  16. Yup you were connected. Download sensorly and do some mapping
  17. I've got an upgrade in June and I'm thinking either the One or S4. I might hold out a bit longer to see if any new rumored device will be packing the 800.
  18. MeanBean has that 3G/1X fix to show true network connectivity
  19. AndroidCentral is listing this as network frequencies: GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) WCDMA (1900/2100 (B2/B1) MHz) CDMA (800/1900 BC0/BC1/BC10, Sprint) LTE (1900 (B25, SPCS) Frequencies will vary by region/operator Hopefully this should pass through the FCC soon.
  20. I'm sure some chefs will port it over but an official update from HTC is unknown at this point.
  21. Here are the guide lines on donations: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1195-information-about-s4gru-sponsorship-levels-and-how-to-become-a-sponsor/
  22. If you are interested in seeing what towers have been completed, please consider a donation for Sponsor level access. And to your question about which cell sites get LTE... all of them do.
