  1. I was at a best buy a couple of days ago and they did not have any display models, only dummies. That may vary for locations. A Sprint store might be your best bet.
  2. Probably would have been moot point though. I'm pretty sure i read over on xda the engineering screens were still on the retail units some people part of a VIP program got early and on an unactivated LTE device I don't think I can see RSRP values.
  3. Hahahaha i know i know ....i should have asked if I could have turned it on.
  4. Just went out to my local sprint store and they only got one One. Nobody had put a deposit on it so I put $50 down. Got teased though because they were like "You can look at it, but we cant sell you it til tomorrow". So I opened up the box and checked it out. I really like the look and feel. Can't wait til tomorrow
  5. Dang. Thanks for trying. I was hoping to do some comparisons between the EVO LTE and One when I get mine on friday. I'll have to wait til I activate the EVO for my brother.
  6. Anybody with an unactivated LTE device laying around? I'm interested to see if you can still LTE RSRP levels from the debug screen on an unactivated device.
  7. Interesting. Thanks for the clarification!
  8. See AJ's article about the HTC One here: http://s4gru.com/ind...tc-one-for-all/ The article kckid linked was for an AT&T HTC One. Also, your HTC Design 4G does not have a SIM.
  9. It is indeed the 19th of April.
  10. it is basically just a whole panel. Same thing can be done on the EVO LTE. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  11. I read some where the HTC logo, with a custom kernel, can be made into a capacitive button and any function assigned to it. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  12. Welcome to S4GRU! I can't wait to get the HTC One as well. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  13. no worries its all good. Im glad the other codes are working too! Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  14. ##DEBUG# works on the Sprint HTC One. Edit - Nevermind I seen your reply about the screenshots.
  15. Put it in a pink case. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  16. Have you contacted Robert Stack yet? I'm sure he is willing to get this story aired. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DGHoVhZzZ8
  17. Newegg and Wirefly are offering the One in black for preorder but I suspect they will be delyaed. Sprint and HTC have given no date when the One in black will be available. Edit -- I take that back. Wirefly is now showing as "Coming soon" and no option to preorder and from what I can tell on Newegg, they have removed the option completely for stealth black.
  18. I asked Dana if she could try the ##DEBUG# code as well on the AT&T HTC One and as expected it did not work. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  19. I got Dana Wollman from Engadget (review: http://www.engadget....-sprint-review/) to confirm the Sprint HTC One does have the engineering screens. Edit- I do hope they had a final build unit and all retail units will still have the engineering screens.
  20. That's the million dollar question. No reviews (from what I've found) went in depth on RF performance specifically on the Sprint network and compared it to other devices such as the GS3, Note2, and EVO LTE. You can bet there will be tons of comparisons once the One gets into hands of S4GRU users.
  21. I read that as well but I was hoping to get somebody to confirm. As AJ noted, the HTC EVO LTE was an exception when compared to the HTC One X. So hopefully with Sprint, the engineering screens will be included. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2951-htc-one-preview-thread-was-any-m7-takers/page__st__560__p__124379&do=findComment&comment=124379
  22. I sent him back one more reply. Hopefully he won't dodge my question again. Still waiting to hear back from him.
  23. My thoughts exactly. I just emailed Rich Brome to see if he still had the device: His response:
  24. I would laugh if they somehow had it set in CDMA only mode.
  25. Newegg's terms of purchase: http://wireless.newegg.com/autocontent.aspx?pageid=4288&referringdomain=newegg&oflag=specialoffer&refcode1=EGG_9999_001_LNav_SPRDeals&cid=35159_729cc2372dfa4f7aba7656bd322d9a41&zipcode=66801&viewmode=1 But basically to summarize:
