Sprint TD-LTE 2500/2600mhz Discussion
DaQue replied to IamMrFamous07's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
I'm interested what happens to a couple of sites near me. One is a Sprint site on a billboard not far from here in front of a Save A Lot grocery store. Only Sprint is there. Behind the store there is a large tower with multiple vendors including Clearwire Wimax. On the issue of Clearwire being lower that may be a good thing. They can cram the towers closer to getter for lower number of users per tower. Many of the towers around here have the top spots empty and a crowd lower. It seems to be a race to the bottom of the tower. -
I forget. What does it imply if a site only gets 3 RRUs per sector instead of 4? The one near work just has 3.

If no ads then we are "mostly harmless" as Doug Adams would say.
-
I'd totally be all over this if there was a way to show the long tower ID codes and not just the 3 digit number that more or less just identifies which sector.
-
I noticed something similar with the accepted Cottleville site. One sector was 4-6 times faster on dload speed. I guess it could just be how may users are connected to the individual sector. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

They do, but the FCC new of the offer and others were complaining so they did it all at once. Dish tried to bring up Sprint buying Clear to block Softbank.

The team on the 94 near Motherhead site in Cottleville is gone today. No LTE from it yet, maybe the moved to another site and left this one for another team to fire it up and test. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

Nice to finally be driving around and hear the audio chime that I have LTE. It's worth the money if you're just getting LTE in your area. Great little app that does what it should and not tons of bloat features. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
