  1. I am really wanting the Note 2 but we don't have LTE here yet. What options do you have on Sprint if you still have your old phone and want to go back to using it on WIMAX? I could see my breaking down buying a Note 2 and want to switch back and forth a couple times before LTE shows up if I have a need for decent speed for a few days.
  2. I would go for a this on my next phone if they offer level 3 protection, otherwise I don't think it would be worth it.
  3. I edited my post while you were replying sorry about that. I know it says 2013 but I swear I read 2012. My bad. Just hopping I Guess.
  4. Now that its official : http://newsroom.spri...article_id=2391 One part says "International voice and data capable with GSM/UMTS/CDMA networks." Does that sound like more than what a Galaxy S3 has?
  5. Hmmm I just read that Samsung has said the S4 should be out "No later than March" would be nice if it had LTE800... Who am I kidding just waiting for any LTE is killing me, I can't survive until March.
  6. Just used speedtest and got 7.33 Mbps but 256ms latency. That would be a backhaul problem wouldn't it?
  7. Guess I will wait for STL to get an upgrade and just go for a Note 2 then. Might be a mistake and just too big. Part of me is hopping the limited time cheap price on the S3's is because they can now use the quad core chip with LTE and will be making the US version quad core like the international one. S3 looks nice next to my old EVO.
  8. It may be dumb question but would a Galaxy S3 get about the same 3G data rate on this my local non NV tower as my aging EVO 4G ? I'm asking in the hope something I don't know about in newer phones is faster on 3G. I am due for an upgrade, my EVO 4G (WIMAX) is getting long in the tooth. I get pretty good WIMAX speed here about 3M minimum 4-6 average and it breaks 10Mbps every once in a while late and early in the day. St Peters (suburb of St Louis) doesn't have LTE yet so if I buy a new phone it will be 3G only for a few months. On 3G I get awful data rates 1Mbps max but usually about 0.6 Mbps, less than 0.4 more is not uncommon. Too slow to watch Youtube with out pulling my hair out. I went to the local Sprint store but the app (FCC TEST) I use to test on the EVO crashes on the S3.Im not switching phones if I it means living with 0.6Mbps. PS I hope NV helps my ping time, 150-200 most of the time. All speeds were download not upload. Thanks in advance to any who reply.
  9. In Apple speak what band is Sprints LTE 1900, LTE 800 and LTE 2600 Apple doesn't give frequencies on their spec's page just LTE (Bands 4 and 17) for one version of the Iphone 5 and LTE (Bands 1, 3, 5, 13, 25), for a 2nd and finally LTE (Bands 1, 3, 5) for the last of the Iphone 5 flavors. Is there standard and a chart for LTE bands vrs frequency somewhere?
  10. I guess this further confirms ST Louis MO is not going to happen this year. Would it be safe to assume if your not on the lucky 100 list you should not expect LTE for another 6 months?
