  1. That is quite a bit of difference if it's coming from the same location. Did you have signal check installed on your phone on your m9 before?
  2. If not too much trouble, could you let us know how network performance is on the device compared to your Nexus 5. How it hold signal and releases certain LTE frequencies as you move about.
  3. Anyone else get the stragefright update this morning. HTC was very quiet about how they were going about it. Meaning saying nothing at at all. But it just popped up a lil ater 7am for me.
  4. I wouldn't mind playing with the white or the silver one those colors are very nice and how they accentuate the design! But the white note 5 is nice too. Just wish RF performance was better!
  5. So am I to believe that the white edge + is not even going to be available for Sprint. I only see the gold and the black one on the pre order page!
  6. The S6 edge + is a looker in white! But so many compromises and that price! The software is pretty cool though!
  7. This may be true, but it will be a definite upgrade to my HTC one m8! I noticed that it drops off in fringe situations on band 41 a lot faster than my partners LG g3! That's something I would appreciate not happen as often.
  8. Those numbers aren't discouraging! On par and between the two devices for the necessary bands for Sprint it appears but slightly depressed overall as you said.
  9. I see it as a plus as I have family members that need to call costa rica from the US and this plan covers that as I was using the mexico and canada 5.00 plan for that. This plan is listed as promotional also. The regular global roaming plan is not. So it may still get uodated once this plan goes away. I'm all for saving 5 bucks though off my monthly if I don't have to!
  10. Please say that isn't the case when it is officially released. That is a major pain point for devices as they lose signal just from picking up the device! I hope that isn't the case one reason I really wanted last years Moto X 2014 model.
  11. Now that it has been confirmed when can we expect an update on the article or an official write up? And are the figures close to Nexus 6 or less than?
  12. What are the chances and likely hood that if Microsoft releases a flagship device alongside windows phone 10. It would follow the Apple, Google approach as well as Motorola as the sole hardware manufacturer to do so with unlocked 3gpp/3gpp2 hardware with direct to consumer updates. One for the carriers and one available to consumers as well. I want to play with this! http://www.windowscentral.com/newer-photo-microsoft-lumia-950
  13. Yes please! I know what I'm getting for my birthday!
  14. The Samsung I was hoping would be a nice upgrade potentionally for a large format screen and updated CA chipset but being a puffier version of the s6/s6 edge is not the direction I like. The Note 4 is an awesome design. But was't enough for me to upgrade to and Samsung RF performance has been quite suspect with there switch to metal and now glass in addition... This should look better in White. But this is not a design step forward as other Note devices have been on some fundamental level.
  15. I've read those specs came accross the original on Reddit. They sound so perfect of balance its hard to believe this would be possible at a 400 dollar price point. It would legit be the best all around device from a specifications stand point released this year. I would not complain. But I am suspect and really dont want to get my hope up!
  16. I would but don't know how to quote post from reddit outside of site parameters. Link to post is in there with comments as well from reddit.
  17. Well apparently some people on reddit are reporting band 4+12, 12+4 carrier aggregation has gone live on some cites. Specifically in the NYC metro area. Pretty cool! From reddit post....
  18. That is good to read, as New Rochelle had taken such a backseat. Had 3g for the longest in most areas.
  19. If the moto x style/pure is the uc1 variant, there is still a typo as it does support band 26 as per article on the FCC filing. Just wish marketing materials would reflect properly to avoid confusion. Plus being able to work on network and be explicitly supported are two different things. As is the case that happened with the moto x 2014 edition. So I'm hopeful the wording is at its being used. That all carriers are on board to support. As they don't have to house space for the device themselves. I also hope this sets precedence in using modems for all US national carrier network off contract devices. Sprint phones need to be added to database to work. Verizon just needs to be an active LTE sim to operate on its network most cases I've read.
  20. My personal concern is will sprint whitelist the Moto X variant for their network.
  21. Since I've been reading this and other threads everyone's throwing ideas out about different plans and services. But I'll share... Since Sprint has 3 prepaid brands Boost, Sprint prepaid and Virgin Mobile why not create teirs. Boost being domestic Latin American calls, lower end teen young adult market basic well built device and services. Your needs for the most part. As it is marketed now is fine personally. Sprint being being mid-premium postpaid exclusively. Focused on multi line agreements tablets data buckets 5+ lines and more. Prepaid, as it is now it's a lil sloppy and convoluted. Not really necessary, personal opinion. Nice mixture of high and low here. Virgin Mobile, being a premium here (slight rebrand) but like the name. V line, of devices and services. Purple being royal as the color of choice for images and marketing. Where you can buy your phone outright or lease with all inclusive pricing which includes tiered data and roaming to overseas countries and territories. Devices sold online only for certain devices. Which could leverage some of the overseas devices not released here in US territories and could also be used as a test bed for certain technology as vo-lte for early adopters as it would be program in the firmware from Sprint, before mass deployment as way to get away from 3gpp2 for business and international purposes moving technology forward. They could even do that in a limited market release where they have fully deployed most of there efforts in regards densification in major markets. Where you could buy device in store at certain location. Premium customer serice and device support. Offer all in one pricing ,which has already been experimented in terms of leasing to reiterate. Use it as an upgrade path every 16 months, or so. Can have a single line plan that cost 150.00 to start. Which includes a lot of base incentive in regard to roaming customer support and replacement care services. Care free living for people to busy to be bothered! Virgin essentially replicates what boost does, waste in my opinion. As boost does it better. See how it actually plays out to see if it is actually even a market for such a branding type. Make use of what you already have. By creating distinct images, for each division. Boost would have the lowest arpu. But could be subsidized by Virgin Mobile and its flagship image. Sprint with high user experience with data tiers mutlilines and such. It's how car makers do it for the most part. Devices don't have to be that much different besides a few on and off switches on the software end to have continuity and price validity. If Sprint is so concerned with data and how it plays with limited bandwith, and high usage area. Throw there hat in assisting video codec support within network technology. How it spefically balances codec and efficiency throughput. Think this is my first super long post sorry! I was bored. My arm CEO for the day. Sadly this would take a lot of time to implement. But what's a few more years its marathon not a sprint. Data Strong network of choice! Corp tagline.
  22. Both of you gentlemen, are trying to have me part with money that I don't have but my particular hobby is to buy things I don't need. And I'm very close to doing so! I'm going to have to mull this over a little bit more.
  23. What pushed you to try the Nexus so late in its release cycle? I've been contemplating the same move to the device, but honestly like htc audio quality. Which for me is actually a thing that kept me from buying the Nexus 6 originally to replace my One max!
  24. on my device usually means priority mode is active! So check if u turned it on with out noticing.
