  1. I've personally noticed slightly higher speeds one my home tower recently not sure if that is due to a back haul upgrade. Then after awhile it goes back to the median speeds from before. So it could be better load balancing and well. Nice to see the results of some work being done either way.
  2. i would say yes, it isn't dropping connection and band switching like the days prior.
  3. They are actually removing the sites completely that will be some time before live launch then. There are a lot of wimax sites up..... Mmmmmmm
  4. mmmmm no! It 7 am on a sunday and I can't get speeds more than an unloaded ev-do connection. Pings are good but it gets worse from here on out. Sad is this use to be a more consistent tower I'm glad more people have triband devices but its sucking resources. Do idle connections take up a time slot or would this be to some few but deligent individuals downloading over sprints lte network?
  5. It has all the bands! The Samsung S7 has just gotten very interesting. Satisfying carrier obligations and selling a BYOD device is a good move probably expensive but also appreciated move on there part, if they follow through.
  6. Anyone notice any weird issues with band 41. My home sites are periodically dropping down to band 26 when I disconnect from WiFi. I hope this is showing work is being done because its happening to two separate sites in my immediate vicinity.
  7. For areas that did not have to follow the injunction how long before the network went dark to being live with additional carriers online? Does the shut down happen officially this evening, then a software update pushed in the next few days?
  8. Does anyone think that with this injunction to delay shutting down the WiMAX network that with the warmer weather is giving sprint time to adjust and optimize the network once everything's able to go live? I would love extra capacity as well as ummm it slows down a lot and will time out and kick down to band 26 to complete a data task at times.
  9. I've had the extended 3G after a call issue since I got my device in the span of 3 different devices before the latest update. But the issue that you're having it connecting and then disconnecting down to 3G, not connecting again I haven't had that at all. Would you consider backing up your device and doing a factory reset to see if it fixes the issue?
  10. Thanks for the thorough write-up and confirmation of it being unlocked out of the box. I'll definitely pick this up later to play with to check it out myself.
  11. Model A1633*Model A1634* LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30) TD-LTE (Bands 38, 39, 40, 41) TD-SCDMA 1900 (F), 2000 (A) UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz) CDMA EV-DO Rev. A (800, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz) GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz) All the bands are supported on both models for AT&T and unlocked iPhones, should be no issue at all as long as its in sprints system. Including HD voice.
  12. There's an article on fierceWireless about Qualcomm new X 16 modem with 4 X 20 carrier aggregation.http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/qualcomm-unveils-x16-lte-modem-capable-1-gbps-speeds-using-carrier-aggregat/2015-11-17http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/qualcomm-unveils-x16-lte-modem-capable-1-gbps-speeds-using-carrier-aggregat/2015-11-17 http://reddit.com/r/Sprint/comments/3t5q6q/qualcomm_unveils_x16_lte_modem_capable_of_1_gbps/
  13. Is it me or do they have markets that aren't live with CA as being of party to that press release anyway as being markets as listed. Speaking of NYC market of course in my personal interest. Do like this name personally LTE plus, and the removal of spark symbol much cleaner approach hopefully the rate plans reflect this as well.
  14. What happen to the second carrier for band 25. Why has that not come to fruition? I can understand the hold up for second carrier in band 41. But any spectrum for LTE would be welcome.
  15. I got my rma nexus 6p Frost from Google, Friday afternoon. It has the same build date as the one I'm replacing,10/25. The one I got two days before had a build date of 10/26, and should not have left the factory of how poor condition it was. I kind of wish I had activated it, but didn't want to bother support with a device I knew I wasn't going to keep after observed the condition. I did put my active csim into the new device to check if a whitelisted device over Sprint could be activated with a csim. But it was not to be! Device showed Sim lock when attempting to authenticate over the network in initial setup. I noticed the two 10/25 date Nexus 6p Frost devices have Samsung memory chips. While the 10/26 had Toshiba chip installed. Both were using hynix ddr4 ram. This new device is exhibiting the same network connection “lag”, is how I'll describe it after I come off a call. Connects to 3g then wait a few beats, to a min or so connects to LTE and remains connected as has been observed by others. Strong performer once it latches onto network. This is with a separate new csim I had on hand. This one actually has slightly better build than the original one I received as well, so I will be keeping the newer and sending the the original order back. From reading others experiences on other forums I hope they get the quality control in check. As this is a really nice device and one shouldn't have to hope for a pristine looking device out the box when paying out the pocket for a new from factory. Fortunately Google is good with replacement if there are issues. But unnecessary cost that can be avoided with quality control check before final boxing.
  16. Not connecting to lte. Not signal check display issue...
  17. I posed the issue to the thread earlier and seemed to be in the minority. I am receiving a new device tomorrow sending the one I have back after I am able to compare both side by side to see if it is simply my device or a software quirk as it is sporadic and still think it depends on when the phone decides to scan for signal. As my device even when holding strong band 41 will scan and kick back down to band 26 when idle over an WiFi connection. When in call if it is in a parked idle state during reception of the call, and it ends during that bridge it will just connect to 3g before it cycles back to lte connection. I have an extra Sim on hand and check if that may have played a role by using the new Sim, then switching to the one in this device currently. Should give me a better idea if then it is how it should be or simply a fault in the device.
  18. This hole binge on thing completely limits the video quality but it helps them curtail over usage at the same time for people that use the services so this helps them maintain quality control of their network. but the way that they spin it forces people to say yes to it which is magical as it is asinine. It's not what you do but also simply just how you deliver the message and they're pretty damn good at doing that. This move should buy them more time in regards to network quality and speeds. Is simply going to be 480p video at its worst.
  19. So I had to go and change my scan time as that definitely seems to be the culprit. It had a BSR timer of 60 switched that to 30 rebooted didn't seem to make a diff. Then changed the next lte from 300, to 150…! That made a difference no more 3g in lte areas after a call! Makes me wonder what everyone else's stats are in the menu as it seemed to be unusual behavior.
  20. This sucks but in a way Sprint I hope saw this not going there way. I really hope they have a plan b or c! Maybe this is incentive for more high capacity lte sites in affected areas till they can come to a better terms.
  21. going by everyone else's experiences this seems to be an anomaly on my behalf. But once it does latch back on to LTE it hold it places where my HTC One m8 with drop 2 3G stays on band 26.
