  1. The cellular band (Band Class 5) is not a future Sprint band. Sprint uses band class 26 which happens to encompass the cellular band, but Sprint has no cellular spectrum; they're using band class 26 for their SMR spectrum, which the at&t iPhone does NOT support. As far as PCS, they are currently using the PCS G block which requires band class 25, not band class 2 which is what the at&t iPhone apparently has.
  2. Just had a cursory look at the FCC docs and I'm left wondering, does the Note II not support SVDO? How bass ackwards would that be considering that the Galaxy S III supports SVDO?! At least SVLTE appears to be onboard...
  3. I was a bit curious about that move too. I imagine the reason was largely financial. If Sprint was determined to divide this project up by three vendors, I think Nokia Siemens Networks may have been a better choice to go along with Ericcson and Alcatel-Lucent. That's assuming that NSN submitted a bid to Sprint, of course.
  4. I hate quoting myself, but I'm simply amazed at how full of s__t Muppett is. From the quoted link this morning (10/2/12): Yet on 5/5/12: http://blogs.wsj.com...a-monkeys-body/ So exactly what has changed in the last 5 months that now makes this deal a "positive" for both parties according to this buffoon?
  5. You know it's funny that I knew who the so-called analyst for this article was before I even clicked on the link just from the description: http://www.marketwat...2?siteid=yhoof2
  6. DT has been longing to do that since the at&t merger got shot down. And they get to pocket the $2.4B from T-Mobile USA for the Crown Castle deal to put towards their debt back home. A definite win for the Germans.
  7. Damned if you do, damned if you don't...
  8. Like it or not, Sprint will eventually follow suit. So the question is do they go after Metro's counterpart Leap and their 6 million or so prepaid subscribers? Alternatively, do they look at US Cellular and possibly C-Spire to enhance their postpaid subscriber base and their coverage outside of large metro, urban areas in a number of states. Interesting times ahead.
  9. http://www.fiercebro...cast/2012-09-30 IMO this could disastrous. Clearwire needs to be trying to get ahead of their schedule, not announcing that there could be delays before they've even begun.
  10. Lightsquared gets an "A" for effort I suppose. http://www.fiercewir...-lte/2012-10-01
  11. From what I recall, Nextel International (NII) is supposed to be transitioning to QChat II (same as Sprint), but over W-CDMA for their PTT needs.
  12. Robert, have you heard anything further regarding the proposed 800MHz LTE FIT somewhere in Montana?
  13. I didn't think that dialer codes worked on AOSP or AOKP ROMs.
