  1. Keep meaning to get my internet sarcasm meter fixed.
  2. The latter two I'm inclined to agree with you on. The first two...
  3. I don't believe that's correct. I'm sure that there are Boost phones that have the hardware to support 800MHz 1x CDMA. Now Sprint may release them with PRLs that don't allow them to access the 800MHz, but PRLs generally can be changed fairly easily.
  4. The Deathstar bidding against itself. Amusing.
  5. You simply can't be certain of that. There would've been little overlap as MetroPCS and Leap didn't compete in very many of the same markets. So what would've been the FCC's objections?
  6. Read a transcript of the earnings call here: http://seekingalpha.com/article/1583562-sprint-nextels-ceo-discusses-q2-2013-results-earnings-call-transcript?part=single
  7. Yeah S beat estimates on revenue so I guess investors didn't panic as much as I had hoped.
  8. At some point SprintBank is going to have to make some more acquisitions. I know that some of us bemoan the loss of the regional carriers, but I think that it's becoming more and apparent that if SprintBank doesn't acquire some these smaller carriers, then their competition will.
  9. I seem to recall another member around here from Detroit (what happened to Boston?) telling a similar story...
  10. USCC is deploying 850MHz LTE in order to get the iPhone. Maybe there's some kind of roaming agreement coming down the pipeline...
  11. Overkill? Is there such a thing? It would behoove Sprint to be ahead of the curve this time around.
  12. However, if Apple were to add TD-LTE support for China Mobile, why wouldn't it be relatively easy to add TD-LTE support for Sprint? http://seekingalpha.com/article/1138601-china-mobiles-td-lte-technology-expanding-fast-where-to-invest
  13. You certainly could be right. However, I remember reading similar comments over on HoFo that Apple wouldn't support Band Class 10 SMR 800 on the iPhone because Sprint is the only carrier in the world using it. Of course, the iPhone 5 proved that theory false. Trying to predict what Apple is good for amusement, but usually an exercise in futility.
  14. Voila! I wonder if the Novatel mifi has a similar feature. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  15. It's in the advanced settings of the Zing manager browser interface. I'll try and get a screenshot up ASAP.
  16. One of the things that I like about the Netgear Zing is that you can prioritize which LTE band you want to use. Obviously that's not very useful right now, but once LTE is widely available on 800MHz, 1900MHz and 2.5GHz that could become a useful feature.
  17. AT&T has native coverage in Alaska I believe from their acquisition of Dobson Cellular. Sprint's coverage maps show native coverage in Fairbanks, Anchorage and several other spots. I believe that's provided via an agreement with Alaska Digitel. Verizon had no native service until their recently constructed LTE network. T-Mobile has no native coverage there at all AFAIK.
  18. Assuming that the device is SIM unlocked... Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  19. To be clear, I think it's a good thing that a CEO (or his subordinates) is so engaging with the public. And if you want to highlight why you think your product is better than the competition, that only makes sense. However, I just don't see the need to be so childish and crass about it. Also, I see that he responded to bucdenny earlier this morning. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
