  1. That's a no-go on iOS, Android only at the moment. It's been mentioned by an executive that it's coming to iPhone, but no ETA as far as I know.
  2. Start? Well they started rolling out wifi calling about a year ago. http://www.cnet.com/news/sprint-adds-wi-fi-calling-to-improve-voice-coverage/

    LG G3

I may reinstall it after they (hopefully) release an update to fix it. If you look at the most recent reviews in the Play Store you can see that it's a fairly widespread issue.

    LG G3

Yep, I decided to uninstall it. It was murdering the battery on my Note 3.
  5. Yes, I know. You stated that only single radio devices will get wifi calling. The Note 3 is the exception to that as it has wifi calling despite not being a single radio device.
  6. At least the author isn't biased... https://twitter.com/NexusNate/status/565210028357853184 https://twitter.com/NexusNate/status/565223003747651584
  7. Sprint's Network Gets Back In The Game http://newsroom.sprint.com/blogs/sprint-perspectives/sprints-network-gets-back-in-the-game.htm
  8. Naturally. The real surprise would've been if that didn't happen.
  9. So Sprint hasn't done crap for three years? That's pretty ignorant. Perhaps you should get over that.
  10. Andrew Martonik, meh. I recall some time ago him getting into a bit of a tiff with Bryce on Google+ about how horrible Spark was in Seattle. Only problem was Spark wasn't even close to officially launching in Seattle at the time.
  11. It might make some strategic sense to talk publicly about the possibility of selling 2.5 GHz spectrum. However, I don't think that it would be prudent to actually follow through on that. It doesn't make sense to enable your competitors by shedding some your key differentiator for a short term financial boost. I think that's short-sighted. Band 41 is their special playground where only they're allowed to frolic (in the US). There's scale in Band 41 from SoftBank and China Mobile in addition to Sprint. It's a rocky road for squeamish investors, but Sprint needs to keep all of their spectrum and exploit it.
  12. There was an article on Fierce that had a link to it.

  14. I wonder how well that would go over as T & VZ are already having garage sales to help pay for the spectrum that they already bought (among other things).
  15. Where does it say that they're obligated to sell it? Something I found while searching for something else: http://www.istockanalyst.com/finance/story/6587764/leap-wireless-international-inc-leap-best-way-to-gain-upside-from-lower-700-block-a-spectrum This piece is from September 2013. It's interesting that T-Mobile hasn't already been able to secure a deal for the license. The value has almost assuredly gone up appreciably following the madness of the AWS-3 auction. If T-Mobile couldn't reach an agreement to purchase this spectrum before, it's certainly going to be a bitter pill now. Plus, if Rachesky's group doesn't have an agreement by a certain date then it falls to AT&T to dispose of it. This piece says that they're allowed, but not required, to sell it. They seemingly could just pay for the license themselves as they're not actively opposing Band 12 any longer and it would screw with T-Mobile as an added bonus. The shareholders just want their money. They don't care if it comes from T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint, Dish or some other entity.
  16. Ditto. WiFi calling has worked pretty flawlessly for me thus far. Like you say, maybe some of the problems are a G3 thing. /shrug
  17. Meh, it seems like it was a copy of some other ad campaign though I can't quite put my finger on it at the moment.
