  1. Ummm... Ericsson isn't doing the roll out in NYC. Alcatel-Lucent is.
  2. I think that they are waiting on AT&T. The flagship phone has to get it first. Remember, for the Sense 4.1 update it came out shortly after AT&T's did. Since the One X+ just came out, I think AT&T will start pushing out JB soon. And then the EVO.
  3. At night, phone usage tends to be less. I am guessing that there because of the outage, you connect to a legacy tower now. All you can do is wait. This happened to me for a week after the hurricane but because I live in NYC they were able to get the tower back up quickly and soon I got my 1.8 mbps speeds again.
  4. If it came out today it'd be a cool birthday present from Sprint but if it comes out tomorrow, it'll be a cool day after birthday present.
  5. It doesn't work like that. LTE will become as slow as Verizon if you overuse it. You can use but not abuse unlimited data. That means, no unauthorized tethering, or downloading tons of movies. If you are browsing the web that's fine, but as long unless you don't have WiFi at home, there really is no reason to use LTE at home.
  6. The most comparable to Network Vision is T-Mobikes plan to add DC-HSPA to almost all of their towers.
  7. I think that if they upgrade at a constant pace, I would be happy. There is no arguing that the hurricane slowed down production. It is going on 3 weeks now and there is still neighborhoods and a couple of buildings on Lower Manhattan without power. I don't blame them for taking so long. I have a feeling that the Sprint contractors will get on the ball as soon as the city is back to normal and you will start seeing upgrades pop up everywhere.
  8. That's also sort of because there are literally hundreds of towers in such a small area that it is hard to just do cover a large area with LTE in a short time.
  9. Stupid Hurricane Sandy! Pushing our launch date to December 2012!
  10. I once got caught in an endless reset. I was able to boot into recovery, but then I had to clear all data in the phone. It told me that my battery voltage was low. Never happened to me again.
  11. A tower near me that I've suspected has Network Vision, has a 1 Capacity, 1 Voice, and 1 Speed Upgrade on the tower. Could that be indicative of the tower being NV'd or are those band-aid fixes. I've suspected that it is NV'd because it is the same tower where one morning I got a ping of 53ms and since then I've been constantly getting speeds of 1.5 mbps and greater.
  12. It's not fair Sprint. We need LTE in Brooklyn. I need LTE in Brooklyn!
  13. I agree 100%. I think that when thy give us our Jellybean update, we will get our 4G fixed. Sprint claims to have been working on this problem for at least 2 months now.
  14. Oh, one more thing, I read on a Sprint forum, that the original T1 Lines were meant for 2.5G 1xrtt, and 3G EVDO back when it barely used. That gives you a time frame of how long it has been since they upgraded their network. Exact quote:
  15. I really should, but I am in High School, still without a debit card, If it were up to me, I would be a Sponsor already. And next time I go to Ikea in Red Hook, i will have to search for that tower. Maybe run a couple of speed tests, just to see what 3G is like.
  16. O couldn't help but notice in the Running List, NY did not increase. Not even 1%. But honestly what did I expect after the Hurricane.
  17. I will be getting Halo but not before I get my hands on AC3 and COD: Black Ops 2.
  18. I've never had a problem with my EVO.
  19. According to this website, " http://gigaom.com/2011/10/25/sprint-plans-lte-advanced-deployment-for-2013/ " Sprint plans on release LTE Advanced in a 10x10 deployment on the 800Mhz spectrum. Question 1: I know that current phones don't support LTE on 800Mhz, but will current phones like the EVO 4G LTE and SGS 3 be able to access the faster speeds of a 10x10 network? Question 2: Will they have to do a hardware upgrade on the tower to go from 5x5 to 10x10?
  20. NYC is still down today. There are tankers that are on roads in Staten Island. There is a part of Queens where there were 50 homes that caught fire. There were tons of power outages in Brooklyn. It was crazy. Another day home for me though.
  21. Actually my tower got knocked out and I am roaming right now. Luckily I have an Airave. Hopefully when they come to fix it, they just NV it to get it out of the way.
  22. Funny though because sites are live in NYC, Chicago, and LA which leaves the question is Philly really that big? Just kidding! Sure enough you'll see LTE any second now.
