  1. I need to stop typing on my phone while walking. This is the millionth time that this has happened.
  2. FoOD isn't in my neighborhood provably due to zoning. It got classified as a historical district last year and now I can't even change my windows without going to the community board. Kind of annoying.
  3. That's why I love my EVO LTE. That weaker radio actually helps. My Dad's Note 2 was on LTE and getting extremely slow speeds but my EVO was on NV 3G and I was getting faster speeds than him. The Note 2 refuses to let go of LTE in my house whereasy phone will let go around -120dbm.
  4. Around NYU, there is no 4G yet but the 3G is great! The nearest 4G you'll get is at Broadway and West Houston.
  5. The guy just did a Zoe with Macklemore. HTC showing off all those features on the one. So happy!
  6. I just saw an HTC Commercial on TV for the first time. The MTV Movie awards is brought to you by the HTC One. I got so excited. And it was HTC's commercial rather than Sprint, AT&T, or T-Mobile. I hope it does well this year.
  7. Dish trying to get a deal going with Deutsche Telekom. My guess is they're angry at Sprint for not letting them have Clear.
  8. LOL! Outlier. That's like when I saw someone get 40Mbps on Sprint LTE.
  9. Not everywhere has FiOS in NYC, but Cablevision is plenty fast.
  10. That is when it is supposed to be mostly finished.
  11. NYC will probably be like Chicago in late 2013 to early 2014.
  12. This will make 88 Markets officially launched, closing the gap with AT&T. Fortunately we know that the number of LTE markets is actually higher than that and this is all PR.
  13. There are 21 new markets about to launch according to PhoneArena. One of them being LA! http://www.phonearena.com/news/Sprint-to-announce-21-new-LTE-markets-on-April-12_id41757
  14. In NYC, we have much of the infrastructure in place. There is tons of dark fiber from the late 90's. The mayor is serious about fiber too. He passed a bill to accelerate deployment of fiber by TWC, Cablevision, and Verizon. Verizon is the only out of the three that runs fiber into your home. The other two run fiber to the curb and then coaxial cables into your home. It would not cost much for them to run it into our home, if they ever decide to do that. And I think both TWC and Cablevision usage direct fiber to businesses that use their services.
  15. 100kbps is great for email, and will load a picture reasonably fast. People underestimate the powers of the almighty 1xrtt.
  16. Central PA is far enough from NYC that I feel like I am away from home, but close enough so that in case of any emergency it is a 3 and a half hour drive to get home.
  17. I think that it's revolutionary. They did exactly what people have wanted for years. The phone is running the launcher with pure Android underneath. It's great! Facebook isn't going for phone sales as much as downloads of the launcher. You can sell 10 Million phones if you are lucky, but you can get 100 Million downloads of that launcher.
  18. Not really though. They just got on my good side. I love engineering, so Bucknell is also high on my list, but then the town of Lewisburg, PA only has 1x. Either way, it'll probably have LTE by September 2014 when I would like to be going there.
  19. Engadget had the courtesy to mention the fact that Sprint has LTE in cities that are not on their map. They said Sprint averaged 15Down and 7 up. AT&T was tested in San Francisco and averaged 17 down and 7 up. In downtown San Fran, they got 25 Down and 8 up.
  20. New York os just way to awesome for me to move. I am despising leaving to go to some college town in Whoknowswhere, USA next year. Gettysburg was on my list though for having a great science department and for being the only college I have visited with 4G.
  21. When do towers get 1x Advanced? With 800Mhz or when a tower os 3G upgraded?
  22. The tags of the post say April Fools.
