  1. Something about pings in this neighborhood! 31ms http://db.tt/j9exEJIZ
  2. I read in another review that this phone supports EVRC-NW and the T-Mobile variant supports AMR-WB.
  3. Especially AT&T. Its almost always a super dark purple on their maps.
  4. With all the sites live in more complete markets like Chicago and PR, why aren't the Sensorly maps more dark purple? I think the LTE sites are pretty dense on those areas.
  5. Best review of a phone ever!
  6. I couldn't help but notice that on HTC's website it says that the HTC First is able to use LTE on 1900Mhz and 850Mhz. It made no mention of AT&T LTE bands which is quite weird.
  7. Investors are really against this merger! I wonder why.
  8. Facebook made a good first step in Andorid developing. They used a launcher as a UI. People have been begging for that forever. If Google were to build KLP as a launcher for other phones, it would have even more adoption. Mark Zuckerberg said that a phones is lucky to sell 10 million units by itself, by creating a launcher adoption rates increase tenfold, and potentially 100 million people can be on it.
  9. Clear did when WiMax became popular. They face them inwards towards the stadium. There is even a video on YouTube showing them doing it.
  10. AJ said in a post before (I'm too lazy to go find it) 1x is part of CDMA2000 and so is EVDO. CDMAone is the 2G technology, and there is virtually none of that yet. Sprint isn't wrong in putting 1x as 3G, it is just stuper slow 3G.
  11. Northern Crown Heights. Near the Brooklyn Children's Museum.
  12. I am in NYC so I am surrounded by NV. Before, I would get about 10kbps average and 100kbos on a good day. Now it is 10 times faster, and todayvi got 4G in my home for the first time. In the more rural areas of North Carolina that I visit, the speeds are roughly the same albeit the pings are a bit higher.
  13. How slow is mine? Not slow at all! It is really fast. About 1.5Mbps throughout the day.
  14. On my aunt's SGS3 her signal is about 10dbm stronger than mine. I often pick up a signal faster though.
  15. Same with me. My signal is in the -100's indoors but outdoors it is in the -90's. I could only imagine my signal if I had one if those Galaxy devices or iPhone.
  16. My house has 4G! I got to my front steps and realized I had a 4G signal in the -90's. Then I lost it when I went inside. Now I am in my kitchen and I have LTE!
  17. Sorry for the horrendous spelling! I was typing on my phone while I was walking.
  18. I feel like the downtikt must have been adjusted near my house because I walk the sake way to the train station everyday and recently I have been picking up weak LTE signals. On the map, the LTE tower is so close to my home yet the signal drips off so quickly.
  19. It was a picture leak, not on their site. http://www.theverge.com/2013/4/1/4170576/radioshack-ad-htc-one-199-99-sprint-pricing-50-google-play-credit
  20. Radio Shack is advertising the HTC One for Sprint for 199.99 with a $50 Play Store credit. It was a leaked image.
  21. I think that I will wait until my upgrade next year to pick up the HTC's newest flagship at the time. Especially after seeing that my EVO might get Sense 5 and 4.2.
  22. Backhaul restrictions. Overlapping coverage areas that would be bad for interference... You don't have to worry about NYC.its more like the remaining 2% or 1% of towers. Its probably going to be around 100 or so towers at the most.
  23. I'm so mad. I went from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania which is covered on 4G, to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania which is covered on 1x. I was so sad. Luckily there was tons of WiFi on campus.
