  1. just the numbers from the FCC OET. I posted a comparison of the Flex and the Flex 2 here http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/6647-lg-g-flex-2-fcc-id-znfls996/page-4&do=findComment&comment=395489
  2. i was going off schedule information that we had received. now that time as passed it appears the schedule isn't really being adhered to as many towers that weren't scheduled to get B41 now have it and towers that were scheduled still don't. with that being said it still won't be every tower that gets B41, at least not initially. some towers have restrictions and they won't be able to install the B41 panels. and to be technical, "not all towers getting B41" and "B41 is deployed almost everywhere" don't really contradict each other not all towers in lincoln have B41 and the ones that don't may or may not be getting B41 still, but most of the towers do have it. So its not everywhere but its almost everywhere just taking a guess looking at the maps i would say 50%-60% of the towers in lincoln have B41.
  3. hello and welcome no lincoln isn't an "official" spark city but B41 is deployed almost everywhere in lincoln. with those kinds of speeds and 0 to 1 bars you were probably on B41, the max you could get right now on B41 on an unused sector and full bars is around 78meg down. for the most part yes its normal for 3G to have more bars than 4G, there are many factors to this but the main one is there are 3 different frequencies that LTE runs on and only 1 frequency 3G runs on, so depending on what band of LTE you are on you could have a stronger or weaker signal than 3G. for the most part though even a weak LTE signal is going to be faster than a strong 3G signal.
  4. as far as i've been able to see, unless you are rooted on your samsung phone you can't get to the debug screen. on the LG phones its just the standard ##DEBUG# and ##DATA#
  5. went into a sprint store today to preorder my flex 2 (since HTC isn't doing a MAX ) and they had display units out already so got to play around with it a little bit. took some debug and data screens for you all
  6. Lol sorry it was the first hit that came up in Google doesn't look like their will be a Max version yet
  7. Live blog happening here http://bgr.com/2015/03/01/htc-one-m9-event-live-stream-video-liveblog/
  8. i missed that post, can you link it here for the time being so at least premier members can take a look at it, thanks!
  9. looks nice if legit! hope they release a MAX version at the same time!!!!
  10. while i'm definitely excited they are expanding and densifying their network i would be even more excited if they just got the GMO sites converted to full builds and got LTE live on them around here! while there are areas of the des moines metro that have outgrown the old network and could use a site here or there to help expand coverage, they would get much more bang for their buck expanding coverage, especially rural coverage, by just converting the GMO sites so they get 800 service. hopefully the rumor about converting around half of the existing GMO sites is further along in planning and deployment and will get completed sooner
  11. No, not supporting SVLTE is because its a tri-band phone and its not possible, nothing can change that.

    LG G3

i know the stock LG keyboard on the G3 sucked, has anyone gone back and tried it after getting this update to see if they improved it or not?
  13. verizon has been doing the same around here, every time i turn around a see crews adding verzion to a tower that never had verizon before. just from what i've observed i would say they have increased their tower density here by at least 1/3rd
  14. I'm guessing that people having such terrible signal on B41 is a result of poor/non optimizations yet. while there are only 3 towers with B41 installed around here, the signal from them has been excellent. I can get B41 in my house from a tower thats 4 miles away. I also picked up B41 in a nordtrom rack store from a tower that is also about 4 miles away. and i'm not talking -120+ signals just to say it connected, i was connected anywhere from -105 to -115 with speed tests of 15 to 30 meg down.
  15. pre-order page is up http://shop.sprint.com/mysprint/shop/phone_details.jsp?prodId=dvc8760002prd&deviceSKUId=88100092&flow=AAL&planSKUId=&ptn=&tabId=dt_phones&defaultContractTerm= there is also a free case offer if you pre-order and now that the specs are up i see that its the 2gig RAM version. EDIT: and apparently i can't pre-order it i'm on framily with the yearly upgrade option and when i signed into my account its got a message directing me to go to a store since i have to trade in my current phone. wonder if there is a way to pre-order so i can get the free case....
  16. Oh I wasn't Was just commenting about performance and benchmarks in general
  17. nice! thats the thing with benchmarks vs real world usage, you aren't going to be running benchmarks all the time so if there are issues with overheating and throttling during benchmarks that doesn't mean there will be issues with your general day to day usage. does it have 3gig RAM on it? or is it just 2? thanks!
  18. i don't have that phone, but it could be them tweaking the network. in my area when i run the sprint PRL i either idle on 1x800 or 1xRTT, it seems to be random, then when i make or receive calls the call either goes to 1x800 or 1xRTT, based on what the network chooses. Even when i run the PRL that prioritizes 1x800 it will force my phone to idle on 1x800 but when i make a or receive a call the network decides where to put me and i'll have phone calls happen on 1xRTT all the time. so in the end you can force your phone to idle on 1x800 but you can't do anything about what band calls happen on, thats all up to the network.
  19. First let me apologize for my lack of knowledge on this subject and hopefully this is an OK thread to ask this question i'm in a situation where all sprint signals, B25/B26/B41 have great signal on my phone outside, but as soon as you walk in the building you lose all but a weak B26 signal (building has metal sides and roof). in a situation like this would it work to get an antenna that covers from 700Mhz to 2700Mhz and install one outside, then run a cable inside and install another antenna that covers the same frequencies inside and have it essentially "bring the signal outside, inside"? this would be without a booster/amp of any kind, just 2 antennas and a cable between them. thanks!
  20. holy crap thats awesome! it will actually be cheaper per month for me to upgrade to this phone from my original Flex payment!!! is this going to be the 32gig 3gig RAM one? just hope after reading the reviews they get the overheating/performance issues nailed down
  21. so when can we buy it?!!?!?!?!?!?!!!?!?!?!?
  22. i'm fairly certain the answer is going to be no, but i just want to verify. one of my co-workers is on verizon and wants to switch to sprint. Is there any plans he can sign up for as a new customer and get a phone at the "2-year service agreement" price?
  23. lol..... yeah..... i've been working with them on this tower for about 4 months now.... most of my family on sprint lives in huxley. it even went as far as me meeting a couple of techs at the tower to go over the issues with it. there are no current plans to convert it from a GMO or add LTE to it. however there was an issue where it would not properly hand off to 3G when coming into the service area of this tower, it would instead kick you down to 1xRTT. i was "was an issue" because i just got a message from sprint yesterday saying they have it fixed. i'm not holding my breath though because the only way to fix this tower is to get it converted to a full build and add LTE. but i guess if it at least lets people transition to it while maintaining a 3G connection that would be an improvement at least. not sure if it would help or not but if you want to call in and complain about the tower too maybe it will start moving it up on some list somewhere :/
  24. ugh, hurry up and release already, i need a new phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  25. are they doing away with the front facing speakers? or is it just hard to tell where they are from those renders? front facing speakers would be one of the main reasons i would get an HTC phone..... that and if they do a max thats close to a 6" screen.
