  1. Houston is pretty close to donkey shows...
  2. eHRPD is just the EVDO software overlay that allows smooth handoffs between 3G and LTE. It is the 3G connection being run through the LTE hub. Sometimes it is faster than the legacy EVDO, sometimes not.

  4. Yes, but you are opening the door for interference between the airave and macro cell signal. From JBtoro on Forum Runner
  5. To clarify a little for you, the airave broadcasts like a mini tower replacing your connection to the "macrocell". 1900mhz for voice and 3G data. This is why Sprint only wants to send out an airave to people who have little/no coverage in their house. It could potentially cause interference issues with the cell towers for people around it. The only way to keep your phone from connecting to the airave is to shut off the airave or leave its range.

Yeah, I was reading that some stores have apparently received their shipments. Office Depot was supposed to be selling them today, but decided to sit on them until further notice.
  7. I just requested leave for that day, so I could cover it...

Anyone get an e-mail, CC charge or anything yet? I keep checking my credit card account info to see if they have charged me yet. Nothing yet...
  9. Sprint's contract with apple is nothing more than a guarantee to sell $15 billion worth of iPhones in 4 years. Sprint was DESPERATE for the iPhone. Apple has no risk in the contract. Even if Google gets the iPhone banned somehow, Apple is still guaranteed money from Sprint (and probably Verizon and AT&T) Apple doesn't owe anything to Sprint except the agreement to provide as many phones as Sprint can sell. I don't understand why people think Sprint holds any cards in this deal.
  10. I find it astounding that sprint is holding back on this while Verizon releases the info. Verizon is normally Gestapo on that kind of thing. From JBtoro on Forum Runner
  11. Apple wants to make as few models of the iPhone as possible. Sprint is the only carrier in the world using CDMA on 800 SMR. Unless the next iPhone supports 800 SMR LTE, there will not be 800 SMR CDMA. Sorry.
  12. For Verizon or AT&T customers on tiered plans? Someone who wants to set their phone up to use freedompop all the time...
  13. Kernel + radio update sure seems like a fix to me. I am not 100% confident, especially when nobody ever officially admitted that there was a problem in the first place. Their backs are against a wall though. With Sprint flipping the switch on LTE on the 15th in certain markets, they had to do something. It might not be a full fix, and they might have just released what they have to this point, but hopefully it improves the situation.
  14. I would sure think that the LTE connectivity issue would need to be fixed with both radio and kernel updates. I think this should fix it. Kind of a good think HTC was so quick out of the gate. If this happens to the Photon Q, Sprint probably wouldn't be able, or willing to block connections. When it is only a couple hundred towers that have to be blocked, it's not such a big deal and they could sweep it under the rug. Hopefully HTC remembers how Sprint helped them out on this in the future.
  15. Yeah, I stopped paying attention to that thread when I got my E4GT. I bought the 3D used, so the software was already updated. That was the only Android phone I have ever owned that didn't get rooted. My computer didn't like the multitude of programs needed to go through the HTC unlock process so I gave up.
  16. When I had the EVO 3D, there was s-off early on, but then HTC allowed the boot loader to be unlocked through their method and updated the hboot. No more s-off... I don't know if it was that tough to crack, or nobody cared. Sent from my Jelly Bean Toro using Forum Runner
  17. And if you want S-off, you should do it now. Who knows if any devs will bother cracking the new hboot...
  18. Check right here on S4GRU... LOL http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-114-sprint-galaxy-nexus-fcc-testing-docs-appearno-800-lte-support/ It doesn't support 800LTE, but it does support voice like the rest of the list earlier in the thread.
  19. I think I've been shaking all day... LOL If only I could speed up time.
