  1. The Sprint Version of the Galaxy nexus supports 800mhz smr Sent from my Jelly Bean Toro using Forum Runner
  2. That bodes well for windows phone's long term survival.
  3. Also added Samsung Trender. I think that will be the last one. I can't find anything else. I'm actually impressed that the Samsung M370 has 800MHz support in a flip phone. That is the only one on the list...
  4. Magic 8-Ball says "don't count on it" sorry. I remember Sprint sent me an e-mail about an exclusive preorder for the Kyocera Echo. I instadeleted it. They probably still have some of their initial stock left.
  5. If mellimel took those speed tests using the Nexus S in his "Phones/Devices" list, it would explain why he was on EVDO rev A. The Nexus S is incapable of using eHRPD and would connect to the cell site through EVDO.
  6. Sorry, looking back I can see how that could be misintrepreted. Should have made it look like a quote instead of just writing it. Or better yet, stayed on topic.
  7. This will also appear in the FAQ when it is posted, but here is a list of the current phones I have researched and found that support voice in the 800 MHz SMR band: Samsung Galaxy S III HTC EVO 4G LTE Samsung Galaxy Nexus LG Viper HTC EVO Design Samsung Epic 4G Touch HTC EVO 3D Motorola Admiral ZTE Fury Kyocera DuraXT LG Optimus Elite Samsung Conquer LG Rumor Reflex Kyocera DuraPlus Samsung M370 Huawei Express Kyocera DuraCore Samsung Transform Ultra BlackBerry Curve 9350 Kyocera Milano Kyocera Brio LG Marquee Samsung Trender I might have missed a couple older phones, but I think I hit a good chunk of them. If anyone knows of any other phones that support SMR 800 voice, let me know and I will add it to the list. Thanks.
  8. I'm scared of what other kinds of lists he has... "Number of posts off topic" "Number of obscure movie references" "number of angry moments" are the three that concern me the most, also "usage of three periods to denote trailing off..."
  9. Are we sure that all those employees that Sprint hired are not just monitoring Robert's conversations?
  10. Well, the Verizon GNex "toro" is almost back to full AOSP support, but it appears that Sprint's GNex "toroplus" is far from being AOSP supported. http://www.androidpo...t-aosp-support/ Jean-Baptiste Queru said this regarding Sprint's version: https://groups.googl...1o/QMoqxhDJlk0J The Sprint GNex will still get updates, but they may not be as quick as the other variants. Lets hope Sprint coughs up the drivers for CDMA/LTE so that it gets AOSP support.
  11. If I remember correctly, that story that technobuffalo ran about "4g active in certain cities" was actually just the 4g cores being finished. Sent from my Jelly Bean Toro using Forum Runner
  12. I think the reason that the Nexus S took so long and all the other CDMA flagships are taking way longer is that GB to ICS was a huge undertaking. One that even Google underestimated when they started upgrading the Nexus S. That is probably why they left the nexus one out of the mix. CyanogenMod just hit release candidate on CM9 on certain phone models. It packs major changes. JB shouldn't be as big of an undertaking. I would expect some of last year's phones to get to JB, but it will be interesting to see which ones made the cut for ICS but not JB.
  13. Am I the only one around here who gives a [crap] about the rules?
  14. Even the Lumias weren't powerhouses. With the slick smooth OS and the same Qualcomm processor as the flagship Androids, these things should be able to smoke about any other phone without their trickery that they used
  15. It's a sport a little less violent than the brand of football they play in New Orleans. Cheaters.
  16. I disagree, I feel a hockey town is not measured by their NHL team. For the record, Denver has had 2 NHL teams. The Colorado Rockies played in Denver from 1976-1982 and had good attendance even though they couldn't put a team on the ice that was worth their salaries. They were sold to an owner who moved them to New Jersey. On top of that, the Denver Pioneers have packed the arena since 1949 and have won the second most NCAA D1 hockey championships with 7. They have also had WHL, IHL, CHL and WHA franchises over the years. Personally, I feel that is what makes up a legendary hockey town. The Minnesota wild have only been in St. Paul since 2000, does that negate St. Paul from being a legendary hockey town?
  17. I know, but there are rules and standards for a reason. Not for companies to circumvent so that they can use some fancy marketing phrase.
  18. What? Sent from my Jelly Bean Toro using Forum Runner
