  1. Perhaps he meant to say "Phoenix Municipal Stadium" where the much smaller crowds allowed for faster speeds.
  2. I'm not sure if this is indicative of poor planning on Alcatel-Lucent's part, but I've come across several current legacy sites in Los Angeles that had permits approved so long ago that they have now expired. One site had 2 changes to the subcontractor on the permit and it still expired without any work having been completed.
  3. My first computer from Radio Shack was a 200-In-One electronics kit.
  4. You beat me to posting that article. Too bad the DAS doesn't seem to support B41.
  5. Deutsch, the new agency, produced the sheep ad: http://adage.com/article/special-report-super-bowl/sprint-apologizes-verizon-t-super-bowl-ad-teaser/296856/ D'oh. Meant to say sheep.
  6. I hope I don't derail this Samsung thread too much, but is the ALU equivalent their Metro Cell Outdoor (B25) ? As far as B41 support I can't find anything from ALU. The closest thing is the Metro Radio Outdoor for B38. Know of anything else? Here's where I got that info from: http://wireless.fcc.gov/workshop/OVERVIEW%20-%20Milind%20Buddhikot%20-%20Alcatel%20Lucent.pdf
  7. Isn't B25 saturated in most populated areas? Why not deploy B41 small cells?
  8. I know this is WIP... but... What kind of antennas are likely to be used with this? Are these just for 1.9 GHz?
  9. I have to reset my phone at least twice a week due to this issue. My M8 is stock OS with the December OTA SW update.
  10. This all may be a secret deal for Radio Shack to take back the TRS-80s that have historically powered Sprint's coverage maps.
  11. Unless the Radio Shack leases are being offered at fire sale prices it seems like a premature expansion. If it goes through I hope I am wrong and it is successful.
  12. In Los Angeles the map is also showing coverage from 8T8R sites. Now if they could only make the window bigger than a postage stamp...
  13. All parts from what I can tell. I must have clicked on the maps a few minutes after they were updated. The maps say updated 1/14/15. (You have to zoom in to the level where you can see the differentiation between turbo and non-turbo.)
  14. Los Angeles appears to be updated. It's way more accurate now.
  15. DAS or no DAS, either way that kind of signal is great news. I often have to get work done on the convention floor.
  16. That's pretty strong for indoor B41 based on my experience.
  17. Did you happen to go to 3rd St.? If so, I'm curious to see if speeds have improved since a month ago.
  18. There are a lot of 8T8R sites in LA. I never have a telephoto lens with me when I see them though. I was at Knott's Berry Farm today and got decent speeds on B41 in most of the park.
  19. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! My home B41 site is now displaying correctly. It's a Christmas miracle. Thanks for all of the hard work!
  20. Did a bused beer tour yesterday. 2 of the 3 locations had really strong B41: Golden Road Brewery - 40 Mbps down. Eagle Rock Brewery - 35 Mbps down Sunset Beer Company- Too many beers to remember accurately, but data was plenty fast.
  21. Thanks for the explanation. I figured some equipment would have to be swapped because of the frequency differences, but the NextG fiber and infrastructure is at least airlink agnostic.
