  1. I can understand why Sprint's overall data performance may still fall behind Verizon and AT&T with B26 and B41 still being rolled out, but the call and text performance are surprising. Why is Sprint not faring as well in the voice and text RootMetrics testing? In Los Angeles, I haven't had a dropped call in months.
  2. Filled with flaws, but here's what I'd like: Simple pricing. No expensive overages -- just a soft landing to the next pricing tier. Unlimited customers get a rebate/credit if they stay under a certain amount of data useage. Email is always free even overseas. Call and text anywhere from anywhere without expensive overages. No locked phones. Netflix and Spotify with Unlimited plans. Add pay as you go mobile hotspot easily from your device. Reasonable rates for just what you use. Discounted for off peak times. No extra charges for smartphones.
  3. Thanks for the explanation! Does it serve any purpose to this community to report the locations of sites that don't appear on the maps?
  4. I know this has been mentioned before, but it's been a while. I've noticed driving around L.A. that there are a lot of sites/repeaters that don't appear on the maps at all. For example, Kanan Dume road has antennas about every 2-3 miles. The Hollywood Hills have tons of sites. Any idea why these don't show up on the maps at all? They're definitely sending out native Sprint signals based on signal strength when passing them.
  5. I have a M8. Most of the B41 sites in that area seem to need eCSFB updates, but that one site is ridiculously fast. Downtown LA is pretty good for B41.
  6. This is great news! Sprint didn't need the distraction of integrating another company. It needs to complete and optimize its NV buildout and then effectively market itself. I'm not sure just calling it "America's Newest Network" and airing odd Framily commercials is enough. Either way I think positive things are going to happen with Sprint.
  7. 72.4 Mbps down on B41 in Reseda. Added via sensorly. Near Victory and Tampa.
  8. Finally got some Band 41 on the M8. Downtown L.A. at the Music Center. Strangely enough it showed up on the inside of The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, which is a marble and stone structure. I was able to get about 7.95 down (inside the theater) and 20.31 down on the outside.
  9. That's good info. Thanks! Unfortunately Band 25 where I live is like string between two paper cups -- it works, but barely.
  10. Before Sprint did the update were you able to connect to any Band 41 sites? Was there any distinction between legacy Clear sites and new Sprint sites? (Not sure I worded that correctly, but I hope the intent makes sense.)
  11. Picked up my M8 yesterday. According to the Premiere Sponsor maps I'm in an area blanketed with Band 41 coverage (Los Angeles - SFV), but I have yet to connect to anything other than Band 25 LTE. This is really strange since I'm 3 houses down from a Clearwire (now Sprint) WiMax site that has been upgraded with LTE. I've driven about 60 miles from Burbank to Woodland Hills to LAX and haven't come across any B41 coverage. I've done all of the software/PRL/activation/airplane mode/reset suggestions that I could find. No luck. This sounds similar to some of the other problems noted in this thread. An hour on the phone with Sprint this morning hasn't resulted in any progress. At least I haven't had any of the incoming/outgoing call issues that other people have had.
