  1. You aren't seeing them on the NV Sites Complete map? I double checked them after posting yesterday. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

  4. Existing fiber may not be sufficient for an additional carrier. All fiber is not equal. It cannot carry infinite amount of bandwidth. If the required service level of the existing customers on that spur line do not leave enough capacity, then Sprint cannot use it if it wants to. However, Sprint bid out all the backhaul a long time ago by market. And it's possible that AT&T is not even the backhaul vendor to that site. Sprint tried to avoid ILEC's as much as possible, especially if that ILEC is AT&T or Verizon. It's possible backhaul for this site is coming from cable company or another AAV vendor. 5. Now that is funny! Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  6. THE FIRST THREE SITES WERE ACCEPTED IN THE MILWAUKEE MARKET TODAY!!! All three are LTE. They will be shown in the NV Sites Complete Map for Sponsors in an hour or so. Congratulations!!!! Robert :jester:
  7. No acceptances in Cleveland yet. I check almost every day. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  8. I don't call anyone anymore. I used 14 minutes last month. I always assume everyone is like me. I use voice to text in the car, and my car reads me my texts when they come in. I enjoy the humorous misreading of words. Kind of like how my GPS says the compass direction "NE" as Nebraska, even in street names. "Turn right on Martin Luther King Junior Nebraska." 9. Softbank recently said they wanted to compete with the duopoly on all fronts. That may mean coverage. I wouldn't rule out a rural coverage expansion by Softbank. I could see them rationally saying that in places like Kansas and Oklahoma, them taking the amount they used to pay Pioneer, Nextech, Panhandle and putting that back into coverage in these areas. They wouldn't add ubiquitous coverage, but I could see them possibly adding service to places like Liberal, Woodward, Garden City, Guymon, Dodge City, Great Bend, etc. and let customers roam in between. You could probably add a few dozen sites for what they used to pay for pseudo native coverage in those areas. I also could see Softbank being more aggressive with cap ex on new sites in rural areas. Sprint will add a native site where there is high roaming costs, when it can afford to. Whereas, Softbank could afford to identify and add sites at every single roaming location that could pay for itself. I'm guessing there are probably 1,000 to 3,000 rural sites that could be added that are break even or save roaming costs. And the thing about adding sites, is it adds more customers in an area over time. Which will then start to cause roaming on adjacent sites to the new site, and eventually Sprint would add service on them too. As long as the new Sprint had an aggressive capex and plan to address high roaming locations, I can imagine a scheme of modest rural coverage growth under Softbank with very little risk. And I think the first step for Softbank would be to keep more iDEN sites to convert to Network Vision, where it makes sense. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  10. Clearwire's LTE network under deployment now is on their own network and sites, and not just on colocated sites. Clearwire is not counting on a Sprint purchase. Most likely, Sprint will stop Clearwire LTE deployment as is after the purchase and only deploy TD-LTE on Network Vision sites from there forward. The existing TD-LTE sites would be maintained through the end of WiMax. Sprint/Softbank will want to dismantle the Clearwire network as soon as possible to cut redundant costs. However, they have to maintain WiMax until 2015. So I would expect in 2015, they will dismantle all the Clearwire network and move over TD-LTE service to Network Vision sites, where they hadn't already. It will be tricky, because they will probably want to eliminate or thin Clearwire service in some areas where capacity isn't needed and the two Sprint bands are working fine (think places like Abilene and Modesto). But they cannot reduce it to the point of being less than the minimum service requirements for the band. Also, they may move protection sites over to TD-LTE. But they will not have to. They can keep broadcasting WiMax over those sites as long as they still allow customers who have the appropriate devices to use them. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  11. This is not a violation, your post is in the correct place. We will be praying for your father in law. Blessings to you and your family during this difficult time. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  12. There is no evidence that Sprint is cutting them or that Sprint is trying to reduce cost. If this is similar to what happened with Pioneer in Oklahoma, then it is the complete opposite. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  13. Looks like a Samsung GMO site to me. Thanks for sharing with us. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

  17. Even I would consider leaving Sprint if DISH were to acquire it. Not in the short term. However, all the quirks about Sprint would probably start to become very annoying to me under Ergen leadership. Sprint would be going from the lovable underdog carrier to the bully that everyone hates carrier. If DISH were to become everything I fear them to be, my departure to Tmo would probably be inevitable. Besides. I'm more of a DirecTV guy. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  18. I bet that a lot of people are going to assume you're talking about S4GRU the way that's written. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  19. Channel 100 went over there and kicked that LTE carrier's butt and took it offline. Channel 100 rules Downtown Baton Rouge, and no one is going to dethrone him. Channel 100 is kind of like Turbo from Wreck It Ralph. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  20. No updates. Just waiting on backhaul. The first one could be any day, or over a month the away. Just don't know. They did test LTE at least once in the area because of a blip on Sensorly. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

  24. It doesn't make sense for you. We all have different needs and experiences. Tmo makes no sense for someone where I live. And I am also a Tmo customer. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
