  1. 51% from Sprint, 13% from the strategic investors and 9% from the hedge funds.I think I read somewhere this afternoon that Clearwire executives pledged their stock to Sprint also. I don't know what percentage that is. Also, there are also a lot of us minority shareholders not being counted as being with Sprint and they just don't know how we'll vote on July 8th. But there have to be enough of us to push it over the edge now. I wouldn't even be surprised if a few more large minority shareholders jumped ship now over to Sprint. To go with Dish is no guarantee of getting the deal because of litigation. Sprint is a sure deal, and is a much more reasonable price than previous offers. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  2. $10k is not rich. But every little bit toward retirement is appreciated. Robert from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta Dang tiny keyboard on this Nexus. It's more than that. That's a typo. But either way, @ $1.61 per share purchase I did well. Robert from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

  4. Barring some sort of Dish Lawsuit, this appears to be the end of the line now. With Mount Kellett on board with the others and also agreeing to sell their shares privately to Sprint no matter what happens, this pretty much cements the marriage of Sprint and Clearwire. 6. Those announcements mean squat. There are cities announced last September as coming soon that still don't have one live LTE site, and there are some not even announced and have more than a dozen live sites. This is what happens when you have marketing folks making these kind of calls. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  7. Seems like a misunderstanding. Probably mean that there is not going to be any LTE yet. Not equipment. AlcaLu has separate crews that caome back and complete LTE and fire it up. However, the equipment is installed at the same time. I guess it's possible he's talking about the LTE carrier cards. It's possible that the AlcaLu techs bring those with them when they fire it up. Otherwise, all the other LTE equipment is installed with the 3G equipment. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  8. Dropped calls for me are 5X worse since NV is getting completed (on an S3 btw). Its probably now the worst its ever been, and I've been with Sprint 14+ years. Maybe the new hardware does not hand off to other towers or between 800 and 1900 but its terrible keeping phone calls connected more than 10 minutes here when driving even/especially on the interstates. Makes for dangerous driving how often calls drop (having to wait to redial and apologize for Sprint (often talk to other Sprint customers in Chicago area so they understand since they have been dealing with here as well), literally 4 drops in a 30 minute drive on interstates between closer burbs and the city is typical. I55/I290/I90/even Lake Shore Drive and main streets in the city. I just have no clue what they are doing. If you are standing still reception is much better as well as less totally dead data zones but you should be able to hold a call on the interstate in a major metro area at least. Right? If anyone has any suggestions what to do.improve things, please let me know. Unfortunately, can't really look at the engineering screens while driving, any app that will record signal level and track tower/frequency attempted handoffs/failures? Love my S3 (except having to charge it twice a day even when not using it much) just wish I could not drop calls while driving. The problems seem to be transferring between 800 and 1900. If you went to a 1900 only PRL, you would likely see a dramatic call drop improvement. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  9. Hawaii is supposed to be one of the last markets. It has been scheduled to start this summer. It appears that permits will start to be issued in the next month or so. Work will get started when that happens. However, the first LTE signals probably will not be live until Fall. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

  12. This is another thing we have debated several times. I even wanted to remove the completion dates. However, most of our members wanted them to stay. So I've kept them. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  13. Robert, Are you running stock Andoid 4.2.2 or a different ROM? On my Nexus 4, I'm running stock Android. I have not accepted any OTA's because I did not want to lose my ability to run LTE. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  14. No. Last night I used a Tmo LTE site in Albuquerque and got 48ms ping. Switched to HSPA+ on the same site and it had a 250ms ping. These likely are using the same backhaul. I believe it is an issue with the airlink of WCDMA networks. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  15. I have never had this occur before. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  16. I was able to figure it out from your email. No problems. You're already upgraded. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  17. They are nowhere bear complete with upgrades in the area. They haven't even installed new backhaul yet. Which is most often the problem with Sprint 3G performance. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  18. Ma Bell Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  19. Not quite. However, 800 equipment is being installed with the CDMA 1900 and LTE 1900 equipment at each site. And it's believed that there will be a lot of CDMA 800 sites that will start being accepted rapidly after June 30th. However, we are not expecting thousands of sites to go live immediately. Robert
  20. In the same exact deployment and all things being equal...1x and LTE on the same frequency will be practically the same signal strength in the same conditions. The difference being that LTE will not be usable beyond approximately -93dBm and -95dBm RSSI, and 1x will be usable up to -103dBm to -107dBm. And that is a huge difference when indoors or nearing the edge of service. LTE does not travel further than 1x, no matter how you define it. You may be confusing that LTE travels further than WiMax, being that WiMax maxed out around -83dBm to -85dBm and LTE maxes out around 10dBm weaker. I don't believe that LTE 800 will travel much farther than CDMA 1900. It will some, but not a lot. There will be a significant difference between CDMA 800 and CDMA 1900, though. Robert
  21. That's just so bad. LTE 1900 shown with greater range than 1x on 1900? Crazy. I don't even think LTE 800 is going to provide but just a small improvement over 1x voice in distance (raw coverage). I think LTE 800 biggest advantage will be signal strength and usability at the edge of current CDMA coverage. I don't expect huge coverage gains on LTE 800. But I do expect pretty good coverage gains on CDMA 800. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

  23. As strange as it sounds, I almost have to wonder if Sprint marketing's cartography department does not have the ability distinguish between CDMA2000 RSSI and LTE RSRP. Robert, what was the figure of merit that we saw Sprint determine for the edge of LTE coverage, -119 dBm RSRP? Could it actually be that the maps are being projected out to -119 dBm RSSI instead? AJ This was one of my early hypotheses when the initial coverage maps came out last summer. I believe I even built a signal map with CloudRF software that would support that as a possibility. The LTE coverage map are notoriously bad and just give a really bad image to Sprint and Network Vision. If this is intentional, it's a bone headed move. I have to believe it is just an error along these lines. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
