  2. Munch. I'm sorry to hear of your injuries to your back. I pray for a speedy recovery. Robert
  3. Those are cool. I need more cooking surface, though. Robert
  4. Although I think I'm getting a new one for Fathers Day. I've asked for this one a few months back: http://www.samsclub.com/sams/charcoal-off-smoker-smoker-offset/prod9510539.ip Robert
  5. Nope, just a cheap round vertical smoker from Lowe's. My wife bought it for me for Father's Day a few years ago. I do want to upgrade one day to a larger vertical smoker. But I never can find what I'm looking for. I don't like the electric and propane smokers. I keep going back to the charcoal smokers. I love to burn mesquite lump charcoal. Robert Kind of like this:
  6. I get your point. And I'm sure it happens that way, especially with StraightTalk. With ST, people have to choose which network they want their service on. With most of the other Sprint MVNO's, the network they run on is much more opaque and people are often less clued in. Robert
  7. I make carnitas in my smoker. I use a Chimayo red chile/garlic rub on a pork shoulder and then smoke it for 10-12 hours with mesquite lump and tabasco white oak chips. Emmm, emmmm, yumm. *drool* And then cook it in a crock pot in a red chile stew for about 3-4 hours. Then shred, and skillet brown it. Best carnitas in the world. Fry up some fresh tortillas, and you have one of the best dishes in thee world. Robert
  8. Not really deceiving. That's what the lightest areas mean. A very weak signal, that may or may not be available depending on your device and your location. Robert
  9. Discussion is already under way in this thread: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/3980-ios7-announcement-at-wwdc/ Robert
  10. Sites that get fiber will likely get upgraded to HSPA+. I never said they wouldn't. I just said it will happen eventually. Robert
  11. We provide information from sources within Sprint. If you were a S4GRU Sponsor member, you would have access to site maps that would show you which sites have upgrades. You could then even go check them out yourself. We do provide this thread for non-sponsors: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/212-network-visionlte-deployment-running-list/page-4&do=findComment&comment=145628 It shows that as of the end of May, 18% of sites had received upgrades. If Phoenix were a Samsung or an Ericsson market, you would already have started seeing some LTE signals around Phoenix. However, your market is an Alcatel Lucent market. A/L waits until they have a lot of sites upgraded, and then starts bringing LTE live when they have a good backlog of sites to keep their LTE techs consistently busy. The Phoenix market is just about to that threshold when A/L will start firing up the LTE side of upgrades. There will be live LTE soon in the Phoenix market. As for the delay, Sprint is behind schedule. They started a few months late. What can I say? I'm not deploying the stuff. But even Sprint has said their Network Vision upgrades are running between 3 - 6 months behind. Robert
  12. No, no service live, yet. 119 sites have had equipment installed. It should be any time now that the first ones should start going live. It may even be this week. Robert
  13. In most of these instances, you would need to see them doing it, or at least find the RRU's mounted at the base. Otherwise, you probably won't know until it shows up as complete on the NV Sites maps. Robert
  14. Network Vision is funded. These are not having any impact on deployment under way now. It's possible it could impact future planned upgrades, maybe in the next 9-12 months if not resolved. Robert
  15. Not surprising that they'll be last. Sprint has selected the Ohio Motorola equipment markets to be last, because they need to move voice over to 800MHz when they upgrade this markets. They could not do that until Nextel iDEN network is decommissioned. That occurs on June 30th. We are all looking forward to that day. Robert
  16. We can't give you info about any specific site. We don't have those kinds of details. However, deployment is occurring all over the market. All the sites are getting upgraded. In our Sponsor maps it shows sites that have received upgrades, and all the sites in the entire market. Robert
  17. Yes. In my mind, Scranton area is ubiquitous in including Wilkes-Barre. Sorry I wasn't more clear. Robert
