  2. They turn on each site as they are complete and pass inspection from Sprint. If they have not been accepted, they are not complete. Additionally, Sprint has lots of markets with live LTE coverage that have never been announced. There is just no rhyme or reason with their PR folks. Robert
  3. Great picture. Thanks for sharing. However, they do not need FCC authorization. They have authorization to broadcast in all their existing licenses. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

  7. How easy was it to replace? I just cracked mine. One of the disadvantages of having a house with tile everywhere. The case could not save it in this instance. Now I have to decide to fix this one, buy a Samsung Note 8.1 or wait for the Nexus 7+. Robert
  8. Most of the country is getting what are called "full build" sites. So nothing unusual going on in the Rochester market. Which is a complete overhaul of the entire site. All new hardware and new fiber optic lines up the towers. This is a very good thing and very necessary. It will bring Sprint into the position of the best quality network and better ability to handle future upgrades quicl and easily. Besides, non-full build sites (GMO sites) will be the last sites to get LTE. So really, it's just all good news. Robert
  9. Welcome! If you become a S4GRU Sponsor, you will get access to our NV Sites Complete maps which will show which sites have been accepted by Sprint as complete. 10. This isn't true at all. Sprint has 5x the rural 3G coverage of Tmo. And soon will have 5x the LTE coverage. Your negative posts flirt with the line of being posting violations. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1197-s4gru-posting-guidelines-aka-the-rulez/ Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

  12. Yes. If you are in a launched market and have a good to strong LTE signal and no data throughout, you should call and open a ticket. Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  13. Verizon's LTE was built out very quickly... And ATT is moving fast here. seems Sprint must have lowballed the vendors so they are working for the highest paid first. Not even close. It was bid out. The biddee cannot love ball, only the bidders can do that. Since the labor market was really tight by the time Sprint was bidding out, it was likely the opposite. Sprint and Tmo are probably paying a lot more...not less. Simple supply and demand. There are only so many qualified workers out there, and Sprint's deployment is much more labor intensive as they are rebuilding their entire network. Every piece of hardware. 14. I'm ranting about a Sprint press release, I didn't donate, I dont know what you donatosr know ,not sure about this pay me to show you my secrets policy, nor I care. I am stating facts that SPRINT releases. Please note that your posts violate our posting guidelines. You've been upgraded. K-9 Mail accidentally deleted the notification I received from PayPal. I had to go in and manually find your PayPal donation online and get your screen name. Thanks for your patience. Robert
  16. I have added the final day of the Nextel iDEN Countdown Clock to EBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=121128904561 You probably will not be able to see it until the auction starts at 9PM Central on Thursday, June 20th. The auction ends at 9PM Central on Thursday, June 27th. The winner of the auction gets the privilege to have their name below the iDEN Countdown for the last 24 hours before the end of the iDEN network. Hurrah! Bid early and bid often. No need to wait until the very end. Break in that new and unused credit card! The proceeds of the auction will go to support S4GRU, maybe for a good amount of time! Robert

  18. Accepted means Sprint has inspected the site as complete and it is ready for Sprint to turn it on. Most of the time, an accepted site is live immediately. However, occasionally there are issues that may cause a delay of turning on a few days or a few weeks. Especially in new markets. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  19. I have had this happen with unactivated phones. It work for a couple of minutes when booting up, then it will boot you off. However, I recommend paying the bill. Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  20. They just recently started on work in the Tyler area. There will likely be a site or two live in the next 30 days or so. However, it will be months before there is city wide coverage in Tyler. There are also quite a few GMO sites around the Tyler area. Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  21. It's hard for me to imagine Verizon as a carrier who spurs competition. Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  22. I concur that in some markets, it will be critical to cover some key areas before they can launch. I mean, how can they launch Santa Fe, without including Bobcat Bite? I think not! Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  23. The amount of people who use more than 1500 minutes of non mobile to mobile is very uncommon these days. You'd almost have to have business usage to do that. And then you should be looking for a business account. I would like to see an apples to apples comparison myself, and then see the cost difference. And then, people would have to realize that your usage patterns is anomaly. 95% of personal mobile users would never need more than 1500 minutes of anytime voice every month with unlimited mobile to mobile. I'd shoot myself if I spent that much time on a phone in a month. But that's the introvert in me. Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  24. That's interesting, I don't think I had heard that before, I guess that would be why Sprint has seemingly forgotten all about Ohio to this point. Was there a reason behind needing to wait to move voice to 800MHz? Yes. To avoid the problems they had with transition from Moto to Samsung like they had join Chicago: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-166-sprint-battling-network-vision-deployment-woes-in-the-windy-city/ Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  25. Let's keep in mind that Sprint announced that its first LTE capable phones would go on sale in June 2012. However, they ended up going on sale early in April 2012. So even though tri-band phones have been said to come out this early Fall, it would not shock me if it turned out to be Mid Summer. We should watch every upcoming device closely.
