That's insane. Everyone I know does. It's bizarre. In fact most of my close friends and family now use Whatsapp because it's the only way everything works for everyone, regardless of OS.

I have had issues with other carriers and no support with Google Voice.

So using the standard Google messaging app RCS isn't working? And you're all going between Android devices? Is the issue cross carrier or is everyone on T-Mobile? I haven't seen a single issue while using RCS, even cross carrier. This is between Samsung, Pixel, and a couple other brand of Android phones.
