Excuse my ignorance but is there an app like signal check pro I can download??

You can get into field test mode by dialing *3001#12345#*

You'll get a screen like this:

Wait times in excess of an hour to pick up my preorder - it's the full court accessory press at my Sprint Store.

45 minutes from closing, and this place is still packed. It's crazy.

My store was pretty slammed too. I walked in and only waited 20 min though before someone recognized me and grabbed my phone and pulled me to a computer. Recycled my 5s towards my bill and got a screen protector and off I went. I love this thing already. I know it's the same crap just shinier than last year but who cares when it looks this damn good?

I am very satisfied with this phone but I'm really impressed with how well this phone holds a lte signal. I have a HTC one m8 as well as a 5s and the m8 does not hold a lte signal too well and would drop to 3g pretty easily.

Got my 6 - Space Grey 64GB. Activated at home. A quick online chat to change my plan to the new $50 Unlimited. Easy as can be. My aging eyes love the bigger screen.

Wife and I got our iPhone 6's today.  Love it so far.  Always like Apple but left iPhone when the 5 came out for the bigger screens.  Came back now and am very happy.

I am debating now what I want to do with my plan.  We are in a full framily.  It is just my wife and I and 8 people that used my code when I posted to reddit.  The $50 unlimited is tempting since it would be locked in pricing with no worry of anybody dropping.  I think trying to add new people now may be a pain since Framily is a buried plan now.  But my wife does not use a lot of data (does not even use the one gig on Framily) so I feel like I am overpaying to put her on unlimited.  Decisions decisions.

Hello I'm a noob to these forums, I been with Sprint for the past 10 years. Never had 4 bars at home until I bought the iPhone 6. Can someone explain this screenshot to me?

B41. Spark. This is why we tell people to get triband phones, which the iphone 6 now is.

What's everyone using for cases? I was going to go naked but I had an incipio dualpro I borrowed from work to try out and it actually feels really nice. My neo hybrid will be here Monday too.

Nakey till I get my rubber button stabilizers for my case.

I have a wimax antenna right across the street from me, I assume I'm getting B41 from there?

I went with this Spigen http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LL63WH0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 A little bulkier than I usually like. I'm leasing, though, so wanted a little more protection (hopefully).

The rep also said "because you ordered it Tuesday you'll likely have it within the week.. If you had ordered the 6+ today (launch day) it would've been 3 or 4 weeks"

I'm using a 5c.. And this 6+ is for my wife.. But planning on getting a 6 or 6+ for myself later

got my 6+ a couple of hours ago, currently trying to kill the battery so I can charge it up to 100% overnight. proving to be harder than expected.

I haven't left the house with it, so I haven't experienced b41 yet..hopefully that'll happen tomorrow.

On another note, I have to say, the slow motion is honestly great. Wow.

i killed my 6 pretty quickly. Texting and downloading 1000 songs back onto my phone through wifi did a pretty good job of taking me from 63% to 1% before I plugged in.

    • T-Mobile has saved its 28Mhz mmWave licenses by using the point to point method to do environment monitoring inside its cabinets. The attachment below shows the antennas used: https://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/ApplicationSearch/applAdmin.jsp;JSESSIONID_APPSEARCH=LxvbnJuvusmIklPhKy6gVK7f9uwylrZ8LiNf3BqIKlDp3_5GxoBr!300973589!225089709?applID=14787154#   Here are the sites for Franklin county OH: https://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsEntry/attachments/attachmentViewRD.jsp?applType=search&fileKey=66518254&attachmentKey=21989782&attachmentInd=applAttach
    • Yep, there is a label on the side of the box but it doesn't provide any useful info that the city doesn't already provide (Crown Castle Solutions is the franchisee). You can see my graphical interpretation of the city's dataset here.

    • Totally agree.  In my county and surrounding counties, TM did not place n-41 on every site.  When I look at the sites in question, I probably would have not placed it there either.  I can find just a few with n-71 only and in most of those cases if you live there and know the probable usage of the residents, you would not do a full upgrade on those sites.  One site in particular is set up to force feed n-71 through a long tunnel on the Turnpike.  No stopping allowed in the tunnel. No stores, movie theaters, bathrooms, so n41 would be a waste.    n25 is not really needed either, so it is not there.  The tunnel is going through & under a mountain with more black bears than people.  TM was smart.  Get good coverage in the tunnel but do not waste many many thousands of dollars with extra unused spectrum. I also see sites with only n71 & n25.  Again this makes sense to me.  Depending on what county we are talking about, they moved much of their b25 from LTE to nr.  Some counties have more n25 than a neighboring county, but luckily, it is plenty everywhere.   When you are in a very rural area, n41 can run up the bills and then be barely used.  I am NOT finding sites that should have had n41 but TM failed to provide it.  They may have to come back later in a few years and upgrade the site to n41.  However, we just may eventually see the last little piece on Band 25 leave LTE and move to n25. I am not sure if the satellite to phone service is using band 25 G block as LTE or nr. We also can possibly have at least some AWS move from LTE to nr at some point.  Yes, everybody wants n41. it is not justified in some cases.  When I travel, I desire some decent service along the entire route but it does not have to be 1 or 2 gig download.   If I can get 50/5 on a speedtest with data that will flow and not stutter, I am very happy. Yes, they will swap out the USC gear.  TM needs to match their existing network. The USCC equipment did the job for years, but it is time to retire it.
