So battery still kinda sucks. But last night I was in someone's house on the hill that had poor signal.

Like only minimal b26. I was there 7 hours. Didn't use my phone like more than 15 minutes. And I was at 60 percent batt life. Not bad for 7 hours is poor coverage. Pre lollipop my phone is usually dead there after 7 hours light use or not. Said I had about 11 hours left on remaining batt.

So now this phone has great standby battery. Just don't ever use it for anything lol.

My standby battery is horrible. My school is 15 minutes from me and by that time my phone is 4% less. I have to charge this thing 3 times a day smh

I keep getting force closes of the contacts app. Getting annoyed by it. Anyone else experience it?

Same here.  It just started a few days ago (I've had lollipop since it was released).  Everytime I've seen the message, I have just unlocked the phone (I just have swipe unlock).

Yup.  Classic "memory leak" issues when the OS dumps system apps and such.  They'll get it fixed up with a future release no doubt.  It's been solved on the Nexus devices already.

Does anyone know if Samsung will warranty the glass or this phone if it's been owned less than a year?

HTC is the only one that will replace your glass for free under 6 mo. Samsung will take your $150.

Dang.

I'm always amazed how these things pass so many "rigorous" tests but a 2 year old drops it and it shatters into 1000 cracks.

No RDFs have appeared yet, indicating they're testing builds. Doesn't mean they aren't working on it though. They abandoned the RDF system for the Note 4, so maybe ours too now. Samsung has to be working on it, forums for all variants are full of complaints.

Sidebar, who's interested in that S6? I wasn't because of the sealed battery and no IP67, but that LoopPay integration and camera look like worthy upgrades? I was drooling at the 0.7 sec opening time and always on stand-by. Plus the FFC real-time HDR? Pretty sweet. I bet they could hook up the S5 with some of that goodness. I'd take the hit to battery life for the stand-by camera.

Despite all the efficiency gains on the processor, screen, and memory, I sure would have liked to see a phone that was 8mm thick, rather than 6, with a sealed 3500mAh battery. 2600mAh seems skimpy, I can't trust Android and Samsung on that one yet!

I like the overal look, but i cant believe they didnt include a microsd card slot...That really puts me on edge even with base models being 32GB. The M9 looks nice too.

So, how many of you are going to find some way to get the GS6?  And which one, the regular or the Edge?

I have a way to get the s6/s6 edge just will wait on RF performance reports from users first. The FCC testing isnt looking good though. But it maybe one of those that pull a 180, and perform amazing, but the s6 edge is really catching my eye, but for reality the s6 due to me most likely killing the s6 edge edges.

Yeah, the S6 Edge looks good to me.  But I think I'll wait until the S7.  Since this is a major change, I'll wait until they work out the kinks.

I'm gonna be that guy that complains about the lack of removable battery, waterproofing, and potential lower RF, but then buys it anyways. I'm a sucker for camera hype. I use the camera soooo much.

I wish they would have kept the waterproofing also.  Another reason why I may wait until the S7.  Maybe they will add it back.  :-)

With a couple of weeks with this update, its starting to get very irritating, especially when you're working on something, leave it and then come back to it and crash.

On a side note, anyone else annoyed by the placement of B41 antenna on the lower right hand corner? I'm right handed so when I hold my phone with my right hand I usually see that I lose or hold a weak B41 when compared to holding the phone with my left hand. I'm not exaggerating when I say that holding my S5 with my left hand creates an improvement of -12 to -15 dBm improvement on Band 41 when compared to holding the phone with my right hand. Major design flaw! Anyone have this issue?

No issue here.  I just tried that out.  I also have an otterbox case on it.

Mine does it all the time I am on B41. Since my ring finger sits right where the antennas are, I always see B41 suffer at the very least a -8 dBm loss when I'm close to the tower. I usually see a -10 to -14 dbm loss when im on tye outskirts of B41 coverage. Its pretty weird since B26/B25 have the antenna right next to it and they don't suffer any signal degradation on either left or right hand. But B41 does when using the phone on my right hand. I know these phones have 2 B41 antennas. Could it be that the antenna on the top right is defective in some way? Or are my fat short stubby fingers too much for my phone? Edited by greenbastard
