Thought if it was stollen the ESN would be flagged and I couldn't activate it?

Maybe they don't know yet?

Certainly wouldn't be the first time a hot device didn't get flagged before it was activated.

Interesting that all the LG G2 APN files that I downloaded are all the same.  When I compare the LG G2 APN file with LG OG APN file, you guys are right, I see a bunch of "dummy" entries in the LG G2 APN file.  I wonder what that is.

Definitely looks like a test file.. if the G2 does use it for connecting to LTE, nobody is going to connect to Band 26 or 41 with it as-is.

I haven't seen an APN-Config yet for Triband LTE devices.  We'll see one soon, I'm guessing.

The Best Buy pre-order deal just got better. G2 is now free on new contract/line, still $99 on upgrade.

Well,  looks like I'll be calling BBM as I'm still waiting for my G2 and haven't activated a line on Sprint yet.  I may even be able to put up with all this connectivity uncertainty at that price.

Just pre-ordered the White G2 from BestBuy for $100, plus a $50 GC.  The Black was out of stock.  I wanted black, and was thinking about waiting to see if would come back in stock, but decided white was ok.  I think its in high demand cause its a good deal, especially if you're a new customer then its free plus a $50 GC. WOW!

Nothing on the ship date though, so not sure when I'll get it.

Hope this LTE thing gets worked out!

He doesn't have a back cover, so I think that already knocks him out of the control group...lol

hey now....what connections are on the back cover that would disqualify me;-)

Just an FYI, as I pre-ordered back on the 11th: I called the Customer Service number, and they confirmed that you won't get the gift card via email until the phone ships. They also didn't have any ETA on the ship date. I'm guessing we won't get our order's shipped until the Nov 8th release date.

Thanks for the heads up.  I'm in no rush, I've been waiting on a triband phone since August when I was eligible for an upgrade, I can wait a bit longer.

I'll probably use the GC to buy that Quickwindow case if it offers decent protection from drops and such.  Anyone have one?

Only problem there is that if you are on Everything Shared Data plan and try to add new line, they more than likely will make you do the My Way plan which isn't "as good of a way" as the Everything Shared plans.  Great deal on the phone that, heck of a deal.

Is there any disadvantage of buying it at Best Buy rather than a Sprint store?

You created a separate thread to ask the same question.  Please leave it at one or the other -- do not cross post.

    • A heavy n41 overlay as an acquisition condition would be a win for customers, and eventually a win for T-Mobile as that might be enough to preclude VZW/AT&T adding C-Band for FWA due to spreading the market too thinly (which means T-Mobile would just have local WISPs/wireline ISPs as competition). USCC spacing (which is likely for contiguous 700 MHz LTE coverage in rural areas) isn't going to be enough for contiguous n41 anyway, and I doubt they'll densify enough to get there.
    • Boost Infinite with a rainbow SIM (you can get it SIM-only) is the cheapest way, at $25/mo, to my knowledge; the cheaper Boost Mobile plans don't run on Dish native. Check Phonescoop for n70 support on a given phone; the Moto G 5G from last year may be the cheapest unlocked phone with n70 though data speeds aren't as good as something with an X70 or better modem.
    • Continuing the USCC discussion, if T-Mobile does a full equipment swap at all of USCC's sites, which they probably will for vendor consistency, and if they include 2.5 on all of those sites, which they probably will as they definitely have economies of scale on the base stations, that'll represent a massive capacity increase in those areas over what USCC had, and maybe a coverage increase since n71 will get deployed everywhere and B71 will get deployed any time T-Mobile has at least 25x25, and maybe where they have 20x20. Assuming this deal goes through (I'm betting it does), I figure I'll see contiguous coverage in the area of southern IL where I was attempting to roam on USCC the last time I was there, though it might be late next year before that switchover happens.
    • Forgot to post this, but a few weeks ago I got to visit these small cells myself! They're spread around Grant park and the surrounding areas, but unfortunately none of the mmwave cells made it outside of the parks along the lake into the rest of downtown. I did spot some n41 small cells around downtown, but they seemed to be older deployments limited to 100mhz and performed poorly.
    • What is the cheapest way to try Dish's wireless network?  Over the past year I've seen them add their equipment to just about every cell site here, I'm assuming just go through Boost's website?  What phones are Dish native?
