Do you have to reboot switching network connections

Do you have to reboot your s3 when switching network connecions through the menu? My friend that has an S3 is required to reboot when he switches to CDMA through the settings menu. I do not have to reboot with the EVO LTE.

I do have to re-boot with my GS3, I do not have to with my EVO LTE.

CM10 does not require this, if you are looking for a work around.

Thanks, I'm not looking, I just thought it was curious that he had to reboot with his S3 and I didn't with my EVO. Just seeing it if was common. Thanks!!!

Prior to the smartphone takeover, I was a Samsung feature phone adherent, and any radio configuration change precipitated a reboot. So, it may just be a Samsung thing.
