Just get sensorly show real world lte in delaware area. Couple towers lack lte right now so some area you will drop 3g.

I'm still waiting on the kirkwood/red mill tower so my phone will function at work. Still pretty unusable 3G. It's pretty much the only tower left in the Newark area, and seems to overpower the lte signals, so unless I'm right on top of one of the lte's, will constantly toggle back to unusable 3G. I think the towers along 95 are also doing this when I'm on lunch breaks along rt 4, so it won't reliably keep lte from the rt4/72 tower even if I'm a block or 2 from it in rt 4, such as the Taco Bell Wendy's or subway. That can't be more than 1/4 mile from the tower, yet keeps jumping to 3G

I have same problem elkton newark line tower no backhaul. Other tower 1 mile away so get 4g sometimes.

Sucks cause we know the signal is there, but it won't let us use it. Sprint just needs to flip a switch somewhere to make it always prefer lte. Don't see the drawback since even 1 bar lte is about as fast as the best 3G signals. Phones jumping back and forth causes more issues than anything

Unfortunately, there are just as many people who post frustrated that they wish their device would let go of a weak LTE signal, because 3G is better.  There really is no solution other than to keep moving as fast as possible on the build out.

I definitely wouldn't argue that…I see threads with people moaning about 1 mb speeds when I'm lucky to hit .1 they could give us a switch in the phone to disable 3G but keep lte active, so at least we have options, and aren't forced on to towers that aren't back hauled

I agree with you, BTW.  I failed to mention that part.  I'd rather have a weak LTE signal than 3G 90% of the time.

I know they are adding band 41 on towers and 800 lte getting closer to be added . I cant wait couple more weeksget new triband phone.

def know where you are talking about very bad around there no usable data on 3g .

Trip down to Rehoboth went well yesterday. I had LTE 800 all the way down the turnpike from Allentown on, and even caught some Band 41 through Wilmington, then some decent B25 through Dover. After Dover, it all went downhill. 

 

3G is absolutely unusable on the way to and at the beach. Thank god the condo we are staying in has it's own modem and router. There is a Sprint site 500 feet away behind the condo and we can't even browse the web 

 

Maybe the 2015 beach season will be more wireless friendly for us. *fingers crossed*

Wow, didn't realize there was so much B26 active! Especially in Allentown. I was at someone's house yesterday in Lansdale whose backyard is the NE Extension and all I had was 3G! But I still have an EVOLTE

I found new anntenas band 41 going up around newark and wilimington 5 so far. I think they will launch spark before end year .

My daughter was telling me service was horrible down at the beach, so I'm not surprised. Guessing that will al be upgraded by next summer anyway. Would love to see more 800 MHz around, so maybe the lte won't keep getting overpowered by the 3G signals around Newark

I haven't seen them yet. I did have a few false hopes, but the work turned out to be something else. I would suspect most of them have been north of the canal.

So, the coverage maps on VM, BM, and Sprint have been updated. They now show that Georgetown and Rehoboth Beach, along with a lot of LSD now have 4G LTE. Can somebody please confirm?

I also called Sprint Technical Support, and they verified it. That, combined with a friend's testimony, shows that it's at least developing in that area.

Georgetown has a live site. You can drive down Rt 1 from Smyrna to Milford and then down US-113 and have coverage for most of the trip. I don't think any of the sites are live in Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, or Millsboro yet though.

 

Today would have been a nice day for me to ride down there and check it out if I had the time though.
