I have a strong feeling nothing big is going to happen until november. I have called sprint plenty of times cause my internet speeds are going in an out ab i got so many different answers like. "Oo there is lte in boca sir there a week signal in parkland florida, deerfeild florida an miami florida. An they say my issue would be fixed in 48 hours cause they were doing a tower upgrade. An 3 days later it was not fixed so i called again an i said to the women i been having the problem for 3 days an i was told its cause of lte upgrades she then tells me that there is no lte upgrades being done in my area lol. Its just funny i got other dumb answers too but i dont think those sprint people know what theyy talken about. But thank you robert for all the info so far man big props

Maybe his phone is picking up an LTE signal just not displaying it?? Where exactly are you when you're conducting these speed test? I have to visit my sister later this week down by UM and I may be able to past by the area to test for myself..

I'm by Kendall breeze area off turnpike exit of SW 120th st. Shopping center that has Starbucks/Bonefish Grill/Sprint Store/Robeks Juice/Walgreens. Today I'm no longer getting these high speeds. I'm back to the slow data speeds...back to reality for now. What gives?

Lately this is my average speeds. Mind you before I picked up those crazy speeds over the weekend my average was half of this. I wonder if the network is getting better and the launch is near... mytama8e.jpg

Ok so im a student at UMiami and I can confirm theres no LTE signal on campus (and I have a S3). However there is eHRPD and a strong signal on campus (-77 dBm).

Following screenshots were just taken while on campus:

Also, I live in Pinecrest and can also confirm theres no LTE signal around my house.

I found a tower near me which has had work done on it and I think is getting LTE now? If someone could let me know by finding any relevant info that they can. Thanks.

Location via Google Maps: https://maps.google....F8&z=20&iwloc=A

Address: 4431 SW 52nd Ct Tamarac, FL 33319 226 ft NE

I have actual shots I took with my camera and shots from Google Street View.

In the new pics you can see a new level on the top and I'm not sure what it is for? They were working on that level the day I took the shot and although you can't see the guy up there, he is there in the shots working on top. Also there is a tower next to this tower which has some panels on it but I'm not sure what for? This tower (or if not this tower one near it as right next to it I get full strength, max signal) gives off 1X, EVDO and the new eHRPD. The last two shots are older pics from the Google Street View car/van and don't have the added top portion of the tower.

Thanks again,

It's hard to tell from the pictures with certainty, but I do not see Network Vision panels on that tower. Also, I have found this site in the schedule, and if it has been converted now, it is indeed early.

Unfortunately no LTE broadcasting there yet. I checked earlier tonight. In fact I lost my eHRPD:13 status and went straight to CDMA only. If you continue on 44th until it turns into Inverrary Blvd. there is a tower that across the street from Walgreens that has all the NV Panels installed (without LTE broadcasting as well). I'll snap a picture tomorrow.

Wow, thanks Robert for the quick reply. In my picture which row are the Sprint panels and row 1 being the row near the bottom (closest to the base)? That way I could keep an eye out for the upgrades. Also what were they installing on the very top and/or what would normally go there?

Thanks again bro! :)

I thought they would be launching the network in October but I'm guessing they are way behind. As Roberts article on South Florida said October would be 40% launch and November would be 50%.

Lol, that is a trip! Where is the tower near the Walgreens? A picture would be great! You should know that area has the worst Sprint 3G speeds of most Sprint locations. I think because of the low income neighborhoods and the fact that Sprint has not only an overloaded Sprint network but then it adds on the cheaper Boost mobile and Virgin Mobile to that same strained network. Most people near me either have MetroPCS or Boost. What is weird is that many of the people on this forum always say using a special PRL they can roam on Verizon but I did it and I could only roam on MetroPCS (even normally when I can't get a signal my phone roams on Metro?)! They are worse than Sprint, if there is such as thing, lol!

Nice find bro. Since this is a Google Maps Street View image from May 2011, do you happen to have a recent pic to compare? I really want to know what LTE panels for Network Vision look like vs the old ones.

I'll try and take one tomorrow.

    • Checked just now and found a 56MB GP System update pending...will follow up after install.    Edit:  Confirmed that this one moved from August to September 1 after updating.
    • Are you sure that's Direct to Cell? That sounds like the 911 center was offline and they got brought back online via a Starlink uplink. Which also makes way more sense than Direct to Cell for that area.

    • February is always closer than you think! https://stadiumtechreport.com/news/caesars-superdome-gets-matsing-deployment-ahead-of-super-bowl-lix/ Another Super Bowl, another MatSing cellular antenna deployment. Caesars Superdome, home of the NFL’s New Orleans Saints, has deployed a large number of cellular antennas from MatSing as part of an effort to increase wireless network capacity ahead of the upcoming Super Bowl LIX in February, 2025. It is the third such deployment of MatSing equipment at Super Bowl venues in as many years, following cellular upgrades at Allegiant Stadium for Super Bowl LVIII and at State Farm Stadium for Super Bowl LVII. According to the Saints, the MatSing antennas were part of a large wireless overhaul this offseason, done primarily “to satisfy fans’ desires for wireless consumption and bandwidth,” an important thing with Super Bowl LIX coming to the venue on Feb. 9, 2025. Each year, the NFL’s big game regularly sets records for wireless data consumption, with a steady upward progression ever since wireless networks were first put into stadiums. https://www.neworleanssaints.com/news/caesars-superdome-transformation-2024-new-orleans-saints-nfl-season-part-1-wifi-upgrades-wireless-cellular During the offseason renovation project, the foundation of the facility's new Distributed Antenna System (DAS) was the installation of 16 multi-beam, wideband spherical lense antennas that are seven feet in diameter and weigh nearly 600 pounds apiece, a model called the MatSing MS-48H180. Another 16 large antenna spheres of varying sizes and frequencies have also been installed for a total of 32 new large antennas, in addition to 200 cellular antennas inside and around the building, all of these products specifically made for high-density environments such as stadiums and arenas. The DAS system's performance is expected to enhance further as it becomes fully integrated throughout the season. The MatSing MS-48H180 devices, with a black color that matches the Caesars Superdome's roof, each were individually raised by hoist machines to the top of the facility and bolted into place. Each cellular antenna then transmits 48 different beams and signals to a specific area in the stadium, with each sphere angled differently to specifically target different coverage areas, allowing increased, consistent coverage for high-density seating areas. In addition to creating targets in seating and common areas throughout the stadium, these antennas create dedicated floor zones that result in improved coverage to the field areas for fans in 12 field-level suites and the Mercedes-Benz End Zone Club, teams and on-field media and broadcast elements. The project is also adding 2,500 new wireless access points placed in areas such as concourses, atriums, suites and food and beverage areas for better WiFi coverage.
